What does this mean to me?

When you are reading an article or book about a scientific discovery or theory, think about:

• What is the hypothesis being considered?
• How is the hypothesis being tested?
• What evidence supports/contradicts the hypothesis?
• Are the scientists involved being objective (open to alternative explanation) or biased?
