First I've heard of that problem. Going to have to leave it to the BOINC experts. Our folks who tried it have had success, but the recompile hasn't been widely tested. Please anyone having problems with the Jaguar compile, let us know. Give as much info as possible about your machine model and config, exact OS version, etc. We need to know if it is a compile issue or a work unit issue. Don't want to leave the compile out there if it is going to create problems. Also let us know if it is working for you. ![]() The best Macintosh team ever assembled. |

Machine here is eMac G4 800 - 768 MB RAM - OS Version: 10.2.8 (Build 6R73) Terminal version 1.3.3 I have repaired authorizations and reboot just in case. Now waiting for another WU to see if it does the same. cmd lines are working. I wasn't using them correctly but I still have to wait an hour each time. There doest seem to be a way to ask for WU RIGHT NOW ! I am new to Unix and I really have to and want to learn so I am currently reading a lot, untill boinc reconnect again. Thanks Shaktai for your precious help Cheers Marc |

Your machine or OS shouldn't be the problem. Have you tried to force a manual update? add the following to your startup line -update_prefs http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ So it looks something like this: [iBook600:~/Desktop/SETI] shaktai% ./boinc_3.19 -update_prefs ttp://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ Of course, it could just be a work unit shortage again. ![]() The best Macintosh team ever assembled. |
