New Seti on Boinc is working well for me now, on Windows XP (Gui) and Linux (command line). Credits are accumulating ! I see the Pending Credits and Results pages are still turned off, so it's not possible to analyze how many credits I have got for the WU's. Can anyone report how the benchmarking and credit scoring really works ? Is it designed to give you about the same average credit (ie. 1.0) for a WU computed in about the same time on the same computer as Seti Classic ? Cheers. GE. |

No, the credits aren't the same. S@H WUs with BOINC are in the form of "Cobblestones". How many you get per WU is based on your benchmarks. <a> |

It's also based on the two other users that process the same WU. You (based on benchmarks) may claim 35, while the other two users claim 18 and 20. You'll get 20 (everyone will get 20 is the logic). |
