I just signed up for BOINC and downloaded the new software. The computers here in the Internet Cafe are still running SETI. They run on an own partition about 100MB big. I did this because the C-drive gets ghosted back (wiped out and reinstalled) about once every two weeks .

I noticed in the BOINC setup that they talk about GBs. Before I update all computers here and create new ghost images etc, I would like to know how much diskspace is advised for BOINC to run properly.

In short: Is 100MB good or should I increase the partition (and if so, to what size)??

You need roughly 2MB for the program and some 355kB for one WU of S@H. If you use only Setiathome as a project 100MB should be more then enough.

Greetings from Belgium.

My computer uses 20 megs for seti files and 2 megs for the program... my guess is that a 100 meg partition should be sufficient
