I'll join you in about 3hrs time Mike. ;-) We got off to 13C (felt like 11C) start here on this Sunday morning with 26C expected, but it's slow warming up so far with that cool breeze coming from the coast. After 3 days of sciatic pain I'm feeling pretty good so far today, though I still have to water the veggies yet, so I maybe able to get back to taming my yard tomorrow. At least pushing a mower around won't be as bad on my spine as swinging an overpowered heavyweight brushcutter about for 4 days was. Anyhow as the temp gets to 16C (feels like 13C) I'll finish my 2nd coffee for the morning before taking care for those veggies. Cheers. |

Do you realize you are using Arabic numbers? A 2024 survey found that 56% of Americans don't think Arabic numerals should be taught in schools. Maybe if we renamed them American numbers? Romans are welcome. "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears.... |

And what are you going to do with all those ears before you give them back? :-DRomans are welcome.Do you realize you are using Arabic numbers? Anyhow it's up to 20C (feels like 18C) now so I'll go and join Mike with those beers, maybe a feed too. Cheers. |

Light winds, a few puffy clouds, and 44f. It should warm up to 55f and if you are into skiing, there's plenty of white stuff just a few thousand feet up from me. |

Posting on a clear Monday morning in the highlands where it got off to a 13C (felt like 12C) with 29C expected. Once the dew dries I'll pull the old mower out and see how much of my wild backyard I can get done on a tank of fuel today. Anyhow it must be time for a coffee as the sun rises. Cheers. |

After 30mins of discharging my cordless line trimmer and 4 catcher loads from 1hr of pushing the mower around my backyard has now been tamed again. Time now for a few beers as the temp hits 24C (feels like 22C). Cheers. |

It was a beautiful day today until the wind started howling. The low was 42f and the high a very pleasant 62f. The winds were in the mid 30's with gusts well over that. |

Either Wiggo's backyard is too big or his lawnmower too small. Or, Wiggo may want to use one (or two) of these modern robotic mowers that explore the lawn on their own and mow it when necessary. |

Or, Wiggo may want to use one (or two) of these modern robotic mowers that explore the lawn on their own and mow it when necessary.Or he's just getting too old and crippled up to do it any quicker and being a very thick kikuyu lawn those robotic mowers are basically useless on it plus I collect the grass cuttings to turn into compost for my veggies. ;-) As the sun begins to rise here it's 16C (feels like 15C) with 27C expected. Anyhow it's time for a 2nd coffee before I do a quick trip into town. Cheers. |

... And we're immediately back to woolly hats weather in the Arctic briskness... At least we're a long way off a frost. And some remote monitoring equipment has warmed to the occasion... We lost data and so abandoned it to the backup system. Finally got round to fixing the primary only to find it works perfectly, no fault found. Are we chasing a game of condensation in the housing that was glitching the electronics??... That's one for the next cold/wet period! Now that I'm back from town it's now 20C (feels like 18C) here and I can enjoy my last coffee for the morning while I decide if I'll do anything today as some bugger is driving a railroad spike into my left hip again. Cheers. |

I can't help but notice that our ol' buddy Vic has flown the coop. Or, perhaps more precisely, has blown his coop all to smithereens. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |
