It got off to a damp 17C (felt like 16C) while 23C is expected. Well that cat2 cyclone decided to stay stationary overnight, but with the sun it's on the move again (this could be our slowest moving on record while joining 3 others that made it this far south), though we did receive drizzle and lite showers for most of the night from it. We've also had a few hours relief from those winds, but I don't expect this lull to last for much longer. At least my veggies won't need watering this morning and my veggie water tank is refilling nicely as it was getting a bit low and I've spent most of the morning making room in my 5000 imp.gal. in an attempt to delay its next overflow. Anyhow after a busy few hours I reckon that it's time for a second coffee while I decide on what I'll do for the rest of the day. Cheers. |

We made it to 23C (felt like 19C) here today, but it's now 17C (feels like 15C) as showers break up the now constant drizzle and we head down to 15C. Anyhow it's time to prepare myself for tomorrow. Cheers. |

Will do Mike. We got off to a damp and windy 17C (felt like 14C) reaching 20C (felt like 16C) here today, though it's now 18C (feels like 14C) on our way down towards 15C. Drizzle, showers and plenty of wind were the order again today and it'll likely get worse sometime tomorrow. Cheers. |

A lot of trucks have been using the highway out front overnight instead of the coastal highway so they're playing it safe. The cyclone has passed over the reef islands and is now sitting in the drain between them and the coast itself with landfall being put at just north of Brisbane ATM. At least the escarpment is taking a lot of the sting out of what's coming this way and as lite rain falls we're at 17C (feels like 14C) with sunrise still 2hrs away. Anyhow it's time for a coffee. Cheers. |

Back in Reno. The roads were clear and I think we are going to have a record snow year. About 5 to 6 feet were at the passes and more on the way. |

Well what was left of Alfred ran back up the drain pipe and finally made landfall further north than expected on the Sunshine Coast just before midnight, but we still had a windy and wet night here which is continuing on this morning where we got off to another 17C (felt like 14C) start again with 20C expected now instead of 18C. At least I won't have to water my veggies today either. Those trucks are still using the highway out front instead the coastal job so I expect it to be a broken up mess again once this weather passes. Anyhow it's time for another coffee. Cheers. |

All I can say is, I'm over this rain and gusty winds and those so called experts should've stuck with their original forecast again as we didn't do any better then what we started with today and it's now 15C (feels like 11C) on our way down to 14C, but I wouldn't be surprise if we go lower. At least those foul gusts have stopped for the moment so satellite services have greatly improved (oh how I miss my old ADSL connection). Anyhow I'm trying to decide what to get for dinner along with what to watch tonight. Cheers. |

The biggest little town in the west is expected to range from 29f now to 61f this afternoon. We have clear skies with snow and rain forecast for Wednesday. |

Monday here got off to a damp and windy 15C (felt like 12C) with 20C expected along with more of that falling wet stuff while I'm about to go nuts being cooped up inside for a 5th day. Thankfully we've only got a fraction of rain that they were forecasting, but even lite showers when they're coming in horizontally you don't want to be out in (especially when going out to check the rain gauge. Anyhow it's time for another coffee. Cheers. |

Dry continental air here. Not a single cloud anywhere... No wind. It will be another sunny early spring day. |

Well after another dump of rain here we did reach 19C (felt like 18C) and now it's 17C (feels like 16C) on our way down to 14C with more of that falling wet stuff possible. Anyhow it's that time of night when a certain decision must be made. Cheers. |

Winning on a damp Tuesday morning where it's 16C as a lite drizzle falls with 22C expected. Anyhow I might as well get a coffee before that glow in the east begins. Cheers. |
