It's now a muggy 23C as those grey clouds close back in. We got 25.5mm from Thor's stomping about yesterday, but I wonder what he has in store for us today and for the next 3 days.

Anyhow I've been across to the supermarket to get food for Dog along with milk, bread and cold meat to cover us both until Friday and it's also time for a couple of beers.

Cheers.

No Cylons here. But keep an eye open for Goa'uld. They may have infiltrated the Feds.

Cheers.

It's now down to 19C (feels like 18C) here as Thor again does a dance on top of us.

Cheers.

My vote is Chanhelings a.k.a Founders. The Dominion has infiltrated other organizations before.

Hey Wiggo. Being a former bus driver. Would you have liked to have drove a more modern looking transit bus. The ones that look like a brick on wheels? I was over on YouTube and watched a video and they mentioned a different design but still a brick called Novabus. They claim there is a bit of a learning curve to steering it smoothly without accident. Look how far back the turning wheels are from the driver.

I was quite use to sitting 7.5' in front of the front wheels for 22yrs Admiral and when turning a corner you have to make sure that you drive at least 7.5' past the corner 1st before you start turning, but I wouldn't call that bus "modern looking" at all (looks more like something designed back in the 70's to me). Then there's the 10.5' of rear overhang you also have to make allowances for, but once you have both of those "city bus" dimensions locked in driving them is a breeze. If you don't you'll be wiping out a lot of stuff and pedestrians not even on the road.

Anyhow as the sun is about to rise it's 15C (feels like 16C) with 26C expected before Thor returns to do some more stomping.

Cheers.

Much more modern looking Carlos, but looking at their configuration I'd class them as coaches.

It's now up to a steamy 20C (feels like 21C) after the 14.5mm got dropped here yesterday so no veggie watering is required again today while the same wild weather is again on the cards.

Anyhow it must be time for another coffee after was the mud from outside off of myself.

Cheers.

Now that the sun has gone to bed and I watch the line of storms that went through here head off to the north it's down to 17C (feels like 15C) with 15C expected in the morning.

Anyhow I'm just thinking about dinner and what I'll watch tonight.

Cheers.

The Chevy Nova had that problem.
The Soviet VAZ-2105 (photo), alias "Lada Nova" too. It's a heavily modified Soviet version of the 1966 Italian Fiat 124, manufactured under license in USSR.

In the early 1990s, when I was a teenager that was our family car; one of the most powerful (60 to 75 hp) and best cars ever made in the East. Its price was twice that of a more simple East German Trabbi (with robust but primitive two-stroke engine), the most common car, we had before. In the past you had to wait at least 15 years to be eligible to get such a new Lada...

It's perfectly suited for the winter cold (powerful heating), but the carburetor somehow leaks petrol vapor when the engine is off on really hot days.... or valves were leaky... whatever. So you park this car in the hot sun and two or three hours later: "No va".

You will have difficulties to start the engine. One has to open the hood and press a manual petrol pump lever below the carburetor a couple of times to fill up fuel pipes and a small amount of petrol into the carburetor, then try again.

When I lived and worked in Birmingham there was one somewhat tired looking Trabant that I saw most days on my way into work. I say "saw" as that was only possible when it was approaching me; it trailed a disproportionately large smoke screen when moving, said smoke screen would gradually envelope the vehicle behind when standing at traffic lights - ah the joy of burning 2-stroke oil instead of petrol....
