Posting on a cool Good Friday morning where we got off to an 11C (felt like 8C) start with 27C expected.

Anyhow it's time for a coffee.

Cheers.

I made a good start of removing my blown over Lady Banks climbing rose today though I did wear through a layer of skin on 2 fingers after 3hrs with pruners, I better wear my gloves tomorrow as I work out how to remove the supporting reo-mesh that's the only thing stopping me now from being able to do the edging and mowing the grass where the whole lot fell and I can also access my veggie garden rainwater tank again.

We reached a muggy 25C (felt like 23C) today and as the sun begins to set it's down to 20C (feels like 19C) with 10C expected in the morning.

Anyhow I just have to decide what I'm going to watch tonight,

Cheers.

Happy Friday! Sunrise is in about a half hour. 28F (-2c) at the moment with a forecast high of 51f (11c). Mostly clear with good air quality. The pressure is dropping so we might have some weather early next week. For now it is a good Friday forecast.
Happy winning.

Where was today?

Even back over in Civilisation here, we got nothing more than damp shades of grey.

Meanwhile we rush to Christmas. I'm enjoying an all too brief weekend escape. Whilst I've just found out that I'm sort of getting a part of a Christmas day break and then continuing to keep the game going through to New Year's eve...

Hey ho!

At least I get three days now to enjoy Civilisation and recharge, yay!

Posting on a Saturday morning now that the power is back on.

We got off to a very foggy 13C start here with 29C being our target for today.

Anyhow I'm finally enjoying my 1st coffee of the morning after being up for a couple of hours.

Cheers.

We could only make it to 27C here today, but that was more than enough as it felt a lot hotter than that out in the sun so I only got in 3.5hrs of pruning in out there today. I'll get out there earlier tomorrow morning to see how much more I can get done before the tip closes (open from 10am to 12noon) so that I can empty my almost full trailer, what's left my garbage bin can take care of.

Anyhow as the last of the daylight quickly disappears it's down to 23C as we await the arrival of a cooling easterly and I should start thinking about dinner.

[edit] Eureka, that easterly has arrived.

Cheers.

Posting on a Sunday morning as the glow in the east grows while it's 13C as we again attempt to get to 29C.

Anyhow it's coffee time.

After 1.5hrs of more pruning I'm cooling off inside my wind tunnel where it's 19C (feels like 15C) as it's already a steamy 22C outside.

I'll just get my last coffee in for the morning before going out and doing a bit more before heading out to the tip to add a trailer load to the green waste pile.

Cheers.

We reached our target of 29C (felt like 28C) today, but we maybe in for an interesting night as a line of storms head this way.

Cheers.

It's 42f with light rain. It looks like I will be getting showers on and off most of the day, which will lead to heavy rain by Tuesday. That means snow in the passes. I don't think I will be going home for the holidays. The weather would not make that drive pleasant.

Here enjoying an evening of Civilisation as a big bit of a breeze rolls over and before I all-to-soon embark on my next stint in The Food Desert...

And Christmas is nigh!

I need a few beers now after being on the phone for 3hrs to my ISP (1.5hrs waiting to talk to someone) about a severe packet loss problem that both my neighbour and I are both suffering (yes we both use the same ISP) which has been going on for the last week (I was too busy with other things to do it any sooner). I had this same problem back in October for 2,5 weeks, but I couldn't check it with my neighbour back then as he was overseas at that time.

BTW we kicked off here at 16C here this morning with 29C again expected and currently it's 28C (feels like 24C) as a gale blows across the top of this range while it's 22C (feels like 19C) inside my wind tunnel.

Anyhow I'll just keep on wearing out my F5 key and go and get myself a beer.

Cheers.

The sun crawled out of its cloudy bed into a misty sky. No rain, but quite chilly at 4C

We hit a blowy 29C (felt like 24C) today and now it's down to 22C (feels like 18C) while 10C is expected here in the morning. Then we're onto 2 slightly cooler days, but not by much, before 5 expected days in the 30-32C range which is extremely hot for here as our long term average daily December temp is 24.7C. :-O

Cheers.
