Hey-oop lad, where've you been all these long days?
Hibernating on a tropical island?

How have you been Zapped?

Well Dog has enough food for another fortnight and I have milk for my coffee so I'll just get my last coffee of the morning in as I wait for the grass to dry so that I can knock over the rest of my backyard. If we can manage to dodge day's wet I'll do the front yard and laneway tomorrow.

Meanwhile it's up to a humid 18C (feels like 16C) with this breeze blowing up and over this mountain range from the coast.

Cheers.

I'm just taking a quick cool down break after moving a few things in the yard around, watering the veggies and it took me 40mins today to discharge my cordless line trimmer so I go an extra 10mins out of it over yesterday's effort.

I'll give myself another 5mins and then I'll see how many catcher loads of grass clipping I'll be adding to my latest compost pile. Next week I'll have to get some washed river sand so that I can start mixing up the compost from my 1st pile and get that 2nd huge wicking tub into action.

Cheers.

Recharged, refreshed, and...

.. Back in a Frozen Food Desert...

Nothing new to report for here as such... Other than the Big Assessment Meeting has been put back a week and is to be held many miles away somewhere usefully civilised... At least that gives a chance to get some positive proposals together...

Meanwhile...

Happy New Year! Be Excellent!!

Another tank of fuel and 1.5hrs of pushing the mower around again and the backyard is finished, but I only got 5 catcher loads of grass off of the rear half of the backyard.

Now to hope again that not too much rain falls today so that I can get the front yard and my side of the laneway done tomorrow.

Anyhow it's time to relax with a few beers while watching the cricket.

Cheers.

Would you believe it!...

A vase of petunias has appeared next to my self-commandeered work spot...!

Well I never...!

Fancy that...!

I've got a good idea of who and why...

(Nervously looking up skywards for an accompanying whale...)

How extraordinary!

Whatever next??

(It does add a bit of uplifting colour to the place!)

Winning on a Sunday morning where it's 10C (feels like 9C) with a stinking 28C expected.

Anyhow it's time for a coffee.

Cheers.

I'm just getting in my last coffee for the morning before I head outside to finish the line trimming and mowing off even if the grass is still a bit damp, but I want to get it done before the heat sets in.

ATM it's up to a humid 16C (feels like 14C) here.

Cheers.

The temp made it to 27C (felt like 24C) here today, but it's now down to 14C (feels like 13C) which is expected to drop to 11C by sunrise.

Anyhow after a pretty full on day I'm ready to call it a day before it becomes tomorrow.

Cheers.

Mmmm... We've got a mix of snow and ice...

Which, sometime overnight, has got into the electronics of a remote unit... Which I ain't going out to fix! Not nice out and no time anyway!

Meanwhile, a standby device has been connected up.

Another one for the jobs list!

I'm glad someone is having good weather today.
This morning's damp white stuff became lunchtime's grey mucky stuff, and by sun down it was raining quite hard. So no star gazing for me tonight. It must be an interesting night for star gazers or it would be a nice crisp, clear night.

It got off to a foggy 11C (felt like 10C) start here, but the sun is quickly cooking it off as we head for a stinking 29C.

Anyhow it's coffee time.

Cheers.

Our Garbo for today must be trying to beat the heat as he's finished his garbage run at a time that he usually gets started. It'll be interesting to see when he starts his recycle bin run.

Anyhow it's time to go and attend to my veggies before I close this coolness inside my unit as it's still just 14C (feels like 12C) outside and 16C (feels like 12C) inside my open wind tunnel. Then I'll get a 2nd coffee in before deciding on what else I'll do this morning.

Cheers.
