After a wet night and morning and still under threatening skies we're still at a very muggy 18C here and plans for today have changed as more mess may wind up on the floors.

At least after 17mm I won't have to worry about watering veggies.

I'm waiting for my Doctor on the MyChart app for my Doctor's appointment, and I have 4 of 4 bars.

Then to see if any prescriptions are ready.

Then I will be off to the ER about my lower right back again.

Otherwise everything is just peachy here in the Wilderness.

After a couple of hours, putting a lot of tools and leftover materials from my recent projects away, a bit of sweeping as well as binning the leftover rubbish I'm getting in an extra coffee while cooling down as the temp here gets to a steamy 21C (feels like 22C) as fine misty drizzle continues to fall.

Well here we go again, I'm in the ER again for the same back problem in the same spot.

I've no idea what will be done this time, probably just one shot or something.

I went to the pharmacy to pickup my prescription before going to the ER.

The car has 40 miles at the moment on the "guess o meter".

The temp in Barstow CA is 55F, in Yermo CA the temp is 56, lows near 29 are predicted.

They gave me a shot, said my x-rays were normal, and sent me on my way.

The car I found out had 42 miles on the meter instead of 40 miles, but I used about 16 getting home, oh well.

I took a prescribed pill just before eating for my arthritis, it's slow acting, but it seems to be working now.

I watched some videos, seems Samsung TV's are still bad, Vizio is now owned by Walmart cause of Vizio's WatchFree channels.

That happens quite often here on top of the range, but I put that down to the radar down on the coast is at least 960m lower than here while the 1 to the west down at the base of the slopes is 750m lower. Though we expected some wetness happening here today the drizzle that we had from 9am to around 1:30pm didn't show up on either of them again.

Meanwhile we could only manage a sticky 23C (felt like 24C) here today and I'm hoping that the expected easterly will soon arrive as it's currently a still very muggy 21C (feels like 23C) as the last of the daylight quickly disappears.

It's cold. Officially it's -10c/15f with my thermometer saying it -12c/12f. It should be clear and sunny all day with a high of 6c/42f.

Bit of a shocker yesterday. Every device in my home set off an alarm warning of an earthquake yesterday. I had about 8 devices blaring an alarm all at once. It looks like we had a 5.8 Southeast of me. No one I spoke to felt it here. But it was felt strongly 150 miles away in the Delta.

A little late to the spontaneous human combustion party. A grocery store I go to has Carolina Reapers. Number 2 on the Guinness book of world records. I just call them “Two Screamers”. It feels like a blow torch going in and out.

earthquake activity in the Yermo CA area.

Yermo, CA has a very high earthquake risk, with a total of 1,360 earthquakes since 1931. The USGS database shows that there is a 88.07% chance of a major earthquake within 50km of Yermo, CA within the next 50 years. The largest earthquake within 30 miles of Yermo, CA was a 5.2 Magnitude in 1985.

I've experienced several 5.0+ quakes here, plus one 7.1 quake from Ridgecrest CA, the 7.1 didn't do much beyond shake the ground here violently, thankfully it didn't last too long.
My home is setup to resist earthquakes, what the upper limit of that is I have no idea. I'm more scared of wind and gusts, than a quake since I grew up with quakes.

Earthquakes don't concern me that much either. I have been in several 6+ and one 7+ quakes. The 92 Landers quake threw me out of my bed. What does concern me is wildfire. The Franklin Fire is approaching my Malibu House. It's still in the green zone but the valley to the east is under evacuation warning. I still have crews working on some of the repairs from the last fire.


I have a house near where the name Oak Hills is on this map and a parcel near El Nido.

More anti pain meds are coming my way on Wednesday from a pharmacy that delivers from about 43.6 miles away.

Some of my meds are now going to be of the padded type.

Sometimes I'm in pain and sometimes I'm not, currently I am in pain.

I put Spectrums modem back online so I wouldn't need to return it.

I'm returning a router to amazon asap, the return was approved, the ups shop closed at 5pm.

I need to go lay down, this is excruciating...

After 4hrs out in the backyard this morning laying down more cardboard in my mixing bays, then wetting it down, pulling some weeds, folding up and putting away the builders plastic from said bays before spending 90mins and a tank of fuel with my maniac brushcutter to get half of the backyard ready for the mower I'm buggered.

Meanwhile the temp is now at a muggy 24C as those dark clouds close up again.

Anyhow now that I've had a shower I'm enjoying a few beers before making some lunch with which to take a spine pill with followed by a spinal reset.
