Yes finally we'll get a sunny weekend here without any chance of that wet stuff falling from the sky for a change.

We got off to an 11C (felt like 9C) start while 24C is expected.

Anyhow it's coffee time.

Cheers.

Well I caught up the watering of my veggies, pulled a 10L bucket of carrots, enjoy a few beers and a feed at the pub before removing the dressing off of my leg and having a decent shower followed by several hours of not having a dressing on at all. I just wish that those doc's dressings didn't always leave me with an itchy rash and I certainly have a fair divot in my shin with about 8 stitches in it (hard to tell exactly how many due to many crossovers), but at least they're not pulling at me anything like they were. Now I'm trying to wash down 1 of those horse caps that has got stuck partway down.

We also reached 25C (felt like 24C) here today.

Anyhow I've now put a medistrip over my shin as I'm ready to prepare for another lazy Sunday.

Cheers.

Well after a 13C (felt like 12C) start here we reached 25C (felt like 24C).

Anyhow after a full Sunday it's time to put a patch back on my leaky leg and hit the sack.

Cheers.

I asked my brother if he knew anything about our stepmothers remains. He said he didn’t know. So I will ask my dad about the matter. Last I knew he was waiting on the death certificate and a cremation permit from the state. I’ll ask him about it this Thursday when I visit.
I was dismayed to learn that a funeral cremation service was not doing their contracted job. Watching the new and heard a crematorium was substituting dirt for remains. Around 200 decomposing bodies were located on site grounds.
I am going to ask my dad if he will use a service provider that will let one of us three to push the button to start the process.

Yeah that's not good to hear Admiral.

After a 12C (felt like 11C) start here today we reached 26C (felt like 25C) with a warmer day expected tomorrow.

I had a couple of childhood friends visit me today so several hours were spent at the pub reminiscing on stuff from over 60yrs ago and catching up on what's been going on in our lives since over drinks and a feed so a good, but long, day was had here so I've padded up my still leaking leg and I'm ready for bed with the hope that I don't wake up after only a few hours sleep like the last 2 nights. Hopefully the antihistamine I just took will stop me waking up in the wee hours with a terribly itching leg like the last couple of nights.

I really reckon that there's something about those doctors' dressings and bandages that just doesn't agree with me and my retired nurse friend who was here today said that it is a good possibility, but she was happy enough with the wound itself even if the degree of the rash was surprising.

Anyhow it's past time for me to toddle off.

Cheers.

I speechless, as I was when I heard the story on the news some time ago. Unfortunately I don't know about crematories that aren't in California.

What you are looking for is a "Witness Cremation"

If the doctor won't (or can't) sign the Death Certificate that can be a huge monkey wrench. Then the coroner gets involved with delays. Once the DC is finalized the rest of the permits should happen very quick.

Your state should have a licensing bureau and they should be able to tell you about any actions against the companies you have selected.

Again so sorry to hear of your loss.

Sorry Admiral. I have heard of that happening in the past. I never dreamed that some people still try to get away with that. Hope you find a service you can trust, or even observe.

I know it. They where caught doing it and I for one am glad some kind of punishment is coming.

This may sound strange but it is what my stepmom wanted. The urn that was selected to temporarily house her daughter’s ashes. Which were spread at her stepfather’s and infant daughters graves. She wants to have her remains put in it until she is spread across the landscape. She and her daughter both liked the design of the urn. That’s not a problem with me or my dad.

Winning on a Tuesday morning down under where we got off to a 13C start with 28C expected.

I just hope that I can enjoy a restful day today after the last 3.

Anyhow after finally getting a good night's sleep in it's time for a coffee.

Cheers.

It's a cool day here in the mountains. Just had a little rain but most of the rain is falling as snow a little higher than where I am. Currently 41f which is today's high. Looks like the temperatures are not changing much for the next several days. High of 41 with a low of 39 for at least the next 3 days.

Glad I don't need to drive to Sac. Winter storm warning on my normal route: "Heavy snow. Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet above 7000 feet, 1 to 4 inches at lake level, and 4 to 12 inches west of Lake Tahoe. Ridge winds gusting as high as 90 mph. Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph."

And 10hours+ ahead over here:

Good evening! ;-)

Yep, the world is round, rotates, and yes the Earth moves!! (Just ask Galileo and Foucault...)

What has really moved has been the warm wet Atlantic air pushing out the dry frigid cold Arctic air... The temperature jumped from freezing and frost to a surprisingly warm feeling +14 deg C!!! All in just a few hours!!!!

... We did also get a rapid hefty dose of snow then rain to cause a little fun.

Meanwhile, I'm rather weary, but enjoying that we now have the freedom of x2 Amps previously available. Scarily, we seem to be still on exactly the same supply lines...

So... National Grid trundled up, all two of 'em in their super chunky AWD truck, and come the end of the day, we had a new x2 chunky circuit breaker on a new panel. Very good job done.

... Mentioning the snow and frozen mud and the two 'em just laughed. They said they're well used to it...

All good stuff.

Now measuring up for adding some big cables to our new capability!

Well Dog has been looked after and let off, my washing from yesterday is off the line and 2 trips across to the supermarket have been done (the 2nd trip was to get more foam tubs for wicking tubs) and all I have left to do outside is to hang out a load of shirts and shorts before I can relax in my cool 19C (feels like 16C) wind tunnel as outside it's already 24C (feels like 25C).

Anyhow I'll get a 2nd coffee in before I go and hang those clothes on the line (they won't take long to dry today).

Cheers.

A normal november day with more rain.
Yesterday my car got the winter tyres on.
I`m a little late this year for some reason.

We reached a summerish 28C (felt like 27C) here today and as the last of the daylight vanishes we're down to 21C (feels like 20C) on our way to an expected 12C before another similar day is to be had.

Anyhow I suppose that I should start thinking about dinner.

Cheers.

Some antipodian meteorological synchronisation?...

We're basking under sunny brightness under a meteorological high pressure.

... All around is still rather soggy wet...

I'd call it 'distorted' because the low pressure belongs to the British Isles, as is written in each meteorologist's textbook, while the high pressure belongs over the continent to attract the cold, clean air from Russia and to block this nasty Atlantic wetness from reaching us.
