In honour of Admiral's step mother, please keep it clean and respectful of her passing. Now for the rules: ------------- 1. The winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules. 2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, the old winner posts a declaration of the new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.) 6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's. 7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post) 8. No picture-only posts - not all pictures we link to show on everyone's computers & phones. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Congrats Rob. As a consolation and in hope of raising spirits, I would like to point out that it's National Nacho Day. Cease the chip. |

Congratulations Rob, even though it was a very sad event that led to your win... As a consolation and in hope of raising spirits, I would like to point out that it's National Nacho Day.Which nation? Rio Grande or Río Bravo? |

Any day can be National Nancho day in my book - provided they are hot (in both thermodynamic and chilli meanings of the word "hot") Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Congratulations Rob. After a 15C start here we're on our way towards 30C with showers and storms again in the forecast for this afternoon and into the evening, I just hope that I get back from town before they start. Anyhow it's time for another coffee. Cheers. |

I object most strongly to a loud beer. But I don't mind a loud pub.... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Congrats Robert. I need another "Cup" of coffee. I cleaned the dishes in the sink, cleaned the sink out, disposed of some insects, and vacuumed the kitchen floor. Soon I should put all the dishes away that are in the drainer. I also gathered all the 1, 2, 4 recyclables in a bag for cash asap. I checked on my tire and breaker, the 240v 20amp breaker is safe at the Post Office, their behind the office scanner is broken, so the Post Office used the front one that always says item picked up, FedEx will deliver my tire on Friday after replacing the bar code. I just weighed myself, I'm now 421lbs, that's 110lbs lost since I started in 2022. |

... Very good :-) For such unusual midweek lack of people, I was left wondering if there's a malaise/exhaustion from all the intense politics from the USA... Or has there been something good on TV? People are probably in shock and a bit scared. I changed my affiliation today in disgust to Independent. I need to make a ham sandwich, one that's not evil like Sourdough is. |

The mercury here reached 32C (felt like 29C) while I was in town at the quacks and that has only dropped by a degree since, but there's cooling weather on the way, so I'll stay inside where it's 24C (feels like 23C). I could do with a spinal reset now. Cheers. |

Very grey and an all enveloping overcast of murk... And that's just the weather! And I could do with a replicated set of tools at each place I dash between... Or go all cyborg about it! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

After a bad day and night Good Friday got off to a 15C start with just 27C being expected for today. But I'm in 2 minds on what to do today so having a coffee might clear things up. Cheers. |

If the first coffee doesn't work try another couple. If they don't work I think you know what the the next step is... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Well Rob, after going across the road to pay my grocery bill and a 2nd coffee I've decided that pushing the mower around won't happen today and I'll save my wobbly legs for a wander around to the post office to pay another bill and via the pub on the way back. I did far too much walking around town (after dropping the sedan off to get welsh plugs done) in the heat yesterday up and down its hills so I'll give myself a rest today and finish mowing the backyard tomorrow. Anyhow I've closed up my unit at 21C (feels like 18C) while it's now 24C outside so I'm just going to enjoy this coolness for a couple of hours before taking that "next step". ;-) Cheers. |

I'm receiving a tire on Friday from FedEx, on Saturday as early as possible I'm getting a tow from AAA to mount and balance said tire on my car at Walmart, then recycle a few bottles that are all bagged up and ready to go, then go to the bank before 2pm when they close, then go home. |
