... Managing and training people is not part of our normal maintenance support!!!...

Don’t you wish you could say this and be done with it.

It's now time for me to go and prepare myself for the coming weekend as the mercury here drops into Frostville.

Cheers.

Covid got me this morning. I can't talk at all. I am in my second week and finally saw my doctor yesterday. She said it's too late to take anything just let my body deal with it. Medical access in this country has a lot of problems. Emergency care is great, but non-emergency is not very responsive.

Just take it easy Carlos.

Well we got off to a 0C (felt like -3C) start here, but with only a very lite frost again due to lack of humidity to do any better, with a sunny 20C expected today.

Now that I've got a few things back where they belong this morning I reckon that I better get a coffee into me.

Cheers.

Bummer Carlos. I think you know what to do. Besides living with it until it goes away. Hopefully it will be short.

Reflecting upon a very ad-hoc hectic busy day...

We get a review at 8am in the morning (Saturday)... Ready for a big meeting 9am sharp Monday...

Hopefully, everyone then gets a clearer picture of what's happening...

We've also proposed some things to reduce our workload... The question as always is at what cost, who pays what or not, and for what end results...

So far, all I've heard are for partial solutions that I anticipate will too quickly unravel...

I'm just sitting down for my 2nd coffee of the morning after repopulating half of the stuff back into the bathroom and brewroom as well as uncovering and watering my veggies while the temp is now up to 16C (feels like 12C).

This spring cleaning is a real pain, but it has to be done.

Cheers.

I'm finally getting in my 3rd and last coffee for the morning after getting almost everything else done.

Once I've done with said coffee it's running the vac through upstairs again so that I can wash the cork floor in my back room before doing LLB up at the pub again while it dries.

[edit] It's now time to mop myself out of here.

Cheers.

Well that's my springs cleaning finally finished, now it's time for a feed before taking care of Dog, my veggies and then crashing for a while.

!9C was the best that we could do here today and feeling like 13-14C depending on the wind gusts, but it's on the slide now with just under 3hrs of sunshine left.

Cheers.

Under a bright grey murk and all is nicely stable for the moment for a change. Good for a breather and a (caffeine) brew.

... And we didn't quite 'complete' the review this morning.

... Hopefully we still have enough of a review for a useful meeting with all those directing operations on Monday...

At least I get to keep my extra help until after the big meeting. Which helps... But only whilst there actually is the two of us chasing round everyone and everything else.

And then, what happens come later on afterwards?...

Well that spinal reset seems to have worked as the temp here has dropped to down to 6C (feels like 2C) on its way to 0C.

Cheers.

We got off to a -1C (felt like -4C) start here while again there wasn't much frost to talk about due to the lack of humidity.

Anyhow it's time to turn the kettle on and then I'll think about what I'll do here today that involves as little back work as possible.

Cheers.

We fell short of our expected 20C here today on managing 18C (felt like 14C).

Anyhow Dog's been fed while the veggies have been watered and tucked away (-1C is expected in the morning) so now I can enjoy watching the last of the daylight slip away after another very busy day.

Cheers.

Lost in grey damp murk... No sun, No shine.

And there really is an amazing disconnect with Management. They really are unaware, or make themselves unaware, of the inconvenient bits of reality!

Also, Marketing materials are very cynically targeted at the unaware Management... Such Management should be banned from even glancing at such stuff! Especially for anything technical!!!...

Oh to enjoy real people who appreciate the reach of their personal event horizon for their boundary of understanding vs ignorance.

(And yes, I'm very proud of my awareness of my event horizon of ignorance!)

I just finished watching our girls notch up another T20i win against the Kiwis so it's now bedtime for me before yet another busy day is had here.

Cheers.

I am feeling better today. I love cool mornings and today is starting at 46F. We expect a high of 77f so it's looking like a nice day overall. I wish I could go out kayaking. But still avoiding people. I don't want to be generous with my germs.
