I'm just waiting on Robbie the Robot to do his job now so that I can continue with my domestic duties while the fog lifts and the temp outside makes it to 6C (feels like 5C). The temp downstairs was 9C, but Robbie now has that up to 15C while it's a now 21C upstairs.

Once the temp downstairs matches upstairs I can start moving stuff down there so that I can get the floors up here vacuumed and washed. I'll get the veggies done sometime in between when it warms up some more out there.

Anyhow I might as well get my 3rd coffee in and at this time of the morning a 4th maybe had today.

Cheers.

Well this washing of the floors is going to take a lot longer than I thought, though so did the veggies as well.

At least the floor has been cleared, swept and ready for me to haul my industrial vac to finish picking up what's been left behind, but I'll get that 4th coffee in before I go that far and give the old wrecked spine a short break.

Meanwhile we're now at 14C (feels like 11C).

Cheers.

We could only manage 17C (felt like 13C) here today, but that back to 15C (feels like 12C) now and Dog and my veggies have been prepared for the night ahead while I enjoy the last 40mins of usable sunlight.

Cheers.

It is a nice day at the foot of the Sierras. Cool 48F with a high of 64F. Looks like we might even have a few light showers.

Winning on a slightly frosty Thorsday morning where we got off to a 2C (felt like 0C) start while a windy 19C is expected.

Anyhow it time for a coffee after another good night's sleep.

Cheers.

Deception or dream?

The spooky thing is when they sound like the 1960's TV imagined Sci-Fi transport of The Future!

Well that's the veggies uncovered and watered on top of doing the dishes as the temp climbs to 15C as the wind starts ti pick up making it feel like 11C, I'm just glad that I wasn't on the other side of my shed, I also dug the steam cleaner out and brought it to the bathroom.

Time now to get that 2nd coffee in.

Cheers.

Well I'm nowhere near as far along steam cleaning out the bathroom as I wanted to be and needing 30mins just to unblock the steam cleaner (it's near 30yrs old and doesn't get used that often) didn't help. Now I'm waiting for it to cool down so that I can refill its watertank.

Anyhow I'm getting a 4th coffee in before noon arrives here as well as giving the old spine a rest before getting back into it.

Beers are going to very late today.

Cheers.

Well my Beer O'clock was 2hrs late today and I didn't get the bathroom finished as I almost lost the connection with my legs so after a couple of beers I had a feed to take a pill with before having a spinal reset, communication with the legs is working again thankfully.

I just got the veggies covered back up, Dog fed and back on her chain for the night as the sun sets while we reached 20C (felt like 14C) here today.

Anyhow after the evening news I'd better reinstall the dunny seat and have a shower that'll get the bathroom closer to being finished.

Cheers.

Nice sunrise. Still cool, below 50f but the sky is filled with puffy clouds and the soil is nice and damp. It's a good day to sip coffee on the balcony.

No beers today!...

We have a 'blockage' and all normality is even more disrupted.

We're awaiting specialist technical advice that is beyond my experience. And we ain't got time to spare for me to get 'educated' to get into any direct fixing here...

Is ALL "cloud" support a game of always leaving that support overwhelmed at the great extra expense of the clients being left waiting in limbo for a call-back?...

... I just hope this doesn't turn into too big a mess to clear up...

Which brings up an insignificant but still irksome irritation:

Why is it that skip wagon drivers clang and bang so much? AND leave the lifting chains freely swinging to clang and bang to announce the janky wagon all along the way from miles away?... The more noise the better to announce their supposed "importance"?...

All very sloppy silly! No wonder the skips are so badly dinged and banged up to bits...

Winning on a frosty P.O.E.T.S. Day morning on top of this mountain as my kettle comes to a boil so I can have a coffee.

ATM it's -0C (feels like -3C), though that could still drop further yet, with 20C expected.

Cheers.

If you want some fun with skips - load one with a good few tonnes of ultra-high density concrete, then a couple of layers of collapsed, soggy cardboard, all nicely netted. I'll let you imagine what happens when the driver looks at load and thinks "easy lift, no need to put the legs down....

Ooooer... That's cruel against dumb animals! (Or at least those that are!!)

For a childish prank it might be amusing to divert some sediment/residue... So long as none got spilt until way away at the far end...

Then again, I'm very sure there's regulations against such silliness...

Cue old skool "Carry On" films and the innane toothy laugh of Sidney James... Ouch!!

I'm just sitting down with a 2nd coffee at hand after getting a few things from the supermarket, uncovering and watering my veggies and ATM I'm waiting on some CLR to do some cleaning of the internals of my old steam cleaner so that I can finish doing my bathroom and maybe even make a start on my brewroom come kitchen before a P.O.E.T.S. Day beer o'clock arrives (and it will be on time today.

Anyhow I better get into this coffee.

Cheers.

I got back from the pub after a few beers and a feed to dry tile floors that I now need sunglasses on before entering, but I will have to get some fine tradesman grade steelwool to buff out some stubborn marks when I go into town next week.

Also the mercury here did reach 20C, but that gusty wind made it feel like 13C, though it's backsliding now.

Cheers.

Clearing up and recovering from the calamity of the "happenings" of the night shift...

Very glad I've got my relief colleague here. Both of us are ragged trying to keep this lot in business!!

... Managing and training people is not part of our normal maintenance support!!!...

We're arguing to get unhooked from those job extensions...
