Quite some time ago I deleted and stopped using Boinc/SETI.

I have now noticed boinc_master and boinc_project activity when running Activity Monitor on my Intel Mac. These appear in the users list of the Activity Monitor app.

I have reinstalled Boinc and followed how to delete everything, yet these activities persist. They may somehow be associated with screen savers? Yet I cannot find one file that appears to have anything to do with Boinc or Septic on my system.

How might I get rid of these? Sorry for the lack of formatting.

Wile not an Apple problem there have been similar reports from Windows users:
