Well that's 4 large trolley loads (about 150kg each) of firewood stacked inside so that will certainly do me for today's effort there and I've got about 5-6 loads to go, but they can wait until tomorrow as the old spine is telling me that it isn't happy. Anyhow it's time for a cool down break before hitting the post office and pub. Cheers. |

I was going to go to the local Post Office today, but they closed at 5pm when I got from home taking my gf to the store, so I have to wait until the 5th, Saturday the 6th is my birthday. If there is any mail in my box, it will be safe. Temp is 80F inside, and 108 and Sunny outside. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

We reached 11C (felt like 6C) here today while I was enjoying a few beers before the clouds returned. Time now for a feed. Cheers. |

It was another cool morning at 15°C/59F. We will reach 22°C/71F at noon until the expected rain in the late afternoon will drop down temps again. |

My last post for this Thursday. But then again there's only 5mins of it left. Cheers. |

118F is predicted for Sunday the 7th of July which since I've been here has never been so high, today merely 114, current outside temp is 108, inside is 80. All 3 litter boxes have a 28lb bag each, but then I'm not about to lug a 28lb bag 60' everytime a box needs a scoop or two. My 2 loads of clothes washing is finally done and is in the dryer in 1 load with room to spare. $14.89 for gas usage for drying clothes during summer, add $60 or so in winter for the gas furnace. Tires next then see about the floor repairs, I'll worry about the bathrooms & water heater afterwards. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Winning on a Good Friday morning in the highlands where it 6C (feels like 2C) while a blowy 12C is expected. Time now for a coffee. Cheers. |

Enjoyed a usefully busy day. Even managed a small detour to get my vote in. Hopefully the politics can get better and our politicians get some training to be less corrupted to instead become more competent?... And back in the real world, we now have the bits to fix a few things. Yay! Except... We've blundered into Friday... I'm also trying to delay my next adventure into The Food Desert. We have more than enough that needs doing here! All good fun? See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Temp outside was 113F, is now 112, inside 84. I also started to unbox the NEW Bathroom Vanity, plus I found the local USDA phone number for a $10,000.00 repair Grant and a $40, 000.00 Improvement loan. And both can be combined to make $50,000.00, I need to talk to them on either Friday or on Monday since the USDA might be closed for the July 4th weekend. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! After wrestling with the wind hanging out the bed linen I washed and bring in another 3 trolley loads of firewood and stacking it with the rest I'm about done for the day. I've still got 3 loads to bring in yet, but they can wait until tomorrow and 1 load will need a bit of resizing before it comes inside. Anyhow we're now at 11C (feels like 4C) outside while upstairs it's a nice 21C while downstairs it's 27C and I'm ready for a beer or 2. Cheers. |

Winning early on a Saturday morning while waiting for sunrise with a coffee as it looks like we'll have a pretty dry weekend here for a change. Cheers. |

4 Duracell AA alkaline batteries fully recharged, I don't buy any batteries beyond Duracell, my car is an exception... Yes I have a AA/AAA charger that can do that and more... Temp is 112F and SUNNY outside, 78 inside. I mopped a section of floor in my home with my wetjet, and tried to wash a sticky doormat in my kitchen sink, maybe the wetjet can help there later on. The ev pouch batteries of the gen2 Volt and the Spark are the same I've read, gen1 Volts use a different ev battery. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! Oh the delicious aroma of a freshly unsealed jar of coffee. I'm just taking another break during another busy morning here, but I got Robbie the Robot kicked back into action downstairs, the dishes done, a milk crate's worth of beer bottles rinsed out, some rubbish out to the bin and been across to the supermarket to put myself back into credit. We got off to a breezy 6C (felt like 2C) start here on top of this mountain range with 12C again being expected, but I did not enjoy the trip across the road with that cold wind blowing making 8C feel like 3C and that wind is still picking up speed (it's also coming from the wrong direction for this time of the year). Meanwhile it's a nice 21C inside. Anyhow I better get back to this coffee before I head back outside to bring more of that firewood inside and then bring that blown dried washing from yesterday off the line. Cheers. |

... And Friday won. Also, there were too many of the team zombied from drunkenly staying up until 5am to fully imbibe the election fever to soak up the last of the numbers... Daren't trust that lot with much, so Friday became a tidy-up and admin day and an early escape into the sunshine for... Yet more beer! ... Subsequently... Had to have three of them collected by taxi... ... And thus was the Friday after the landslide vote... Hey ho? You're always winning Martin when your standard Friday turns into a P.O.E.T.S. Day. ;-) Well I've had enough of being outside for the moment as I was nearing the end of loading my last trolley load of firewood to bring in when the sky suddenly went darker and a dark moist looking cloud was the culprit so I hauled that load in (that was the 2nd load for the morning) then rushed out to get the sheets and pillow cases off the line. I wound up with almost 2 full trolley loads of wood to resize still out there, but they can wait until conditions improve so it doesn't matter if they get wet. I was also getting sick of the 10C (felt like 3C) temp out there without getting wet as well. Anyhow, seeing that it's too early for a beer as yet, I might as well get warmed back up with a 4th cup of coffee after that. Cheers. |
