So do I add one and a third miles to my trip?

As long as you can leave the pass. Would like to be able to still converse with you.

I keep my tires on the outside of my car.

That‘s an observation I also made: Two times I bought a used car, that is a Sedan and a large Station Wagon which original price was comparable to a BMW. At both cars the previous owner replaced worn original quality tires with noname crap to save one or two hundred euros.

So the first thing you have to do is to replace all tires.

The people don‘t have a problem with paying the higher fuel consumption of big, powerful and turbo-charged cars. But when new tires are needed…

The big light has faded away now after a windy 10C (felt like 5C) was the best that we could muster up here today.

Cheers.

You forgot one thing: When all the conversions are complete, you need to have a reliable, well-calculated plan of when and for how long you can activate each device (charging the BEV, a/c, water boiler, heat pump) as I assume your power connection will not be upgraded.

Recovering from the minor aches and strains from yesterday!

So...

The bits temporarily removed were put back in place easy enough. The cut pipes can stay cut being as they are not needed for the time being... (Consideration ongoing as to whether we do anything additionally to ensure there are 'no surprises' in a few week's time...)

There is already a good and hopeful hint of improved operation, and that is before the new improved test pipework gets fitted.

All good but still lots to do yet...

And where'd that sunshine go??!!!

After a frosty -2C (felt like -5C) start here we're now up to 10C (feels like 6C) as I enjoy my last coffee for the morning and the shed's solar heating system has downstairs up to 20C so I can finally get some work done down there today.

13C is expected here on top of the range today.

Cheers.

Induction cooktops can be hot to the touch. One of the most commonly cited advantages of induction is that the cooktop itself remains cool since the magnetic field works directly on the cookware. It’s a little more nuanced than that. Heat can be transferred from the cookware back to the ceramic surface, meaning it can still be warm, or even hot, to the touch, if not as scorching as a regular electric or gas burner. So please, don’t place your hand on a just-used induction burner, and do pay attention to the indicator lights that tell you when the surface is sufficiently cooled off.

We've made it to 12C (feels like 7C) and after a few hours work I'm ready for a spinal reset.

Cheers.

Looks like we're going to have a thunderstorm this evening with heavy gusts and possibly large hail.

From blazing hot sunshine into chilly damp grey, all in the space of a heartbeat.

Whatever next?

@Zoom:

If you have an induction hob, I hope the kitties are not going to walk over the controls to randomly turn the hob on to magnetize themselves?!

As the sun rose we got off to a foggy and frosty -3C (felt like -6C) start on top of this part of the mountain range with 12C being our target for today.

It must be time for another coffee.

Cheers.
