Fixing bits of sloppiness, 1m3 at a time...

... Ya cannae cure all the slop all in one go!...

All counterpointed into sharp relief for enjoying the good efficient thoroughness and beauty of other areas that have been thoughtfully done well!!

Well ok, I now have 3 Goodyears and 1 Momo tires on my car, all 4 are on 15x6.0" wheels, I moved the sensors from the old and discarded 15x6.5" wheels to the 2 ebay bought 15x6.0" wheels I bought online and so far everything is working OK.

The damage?

$93.79

The 3 Achilles are discarded and off my car and out of my life, when I left Walmart I had 33 miles on the GOM or as I call it, "the meter".

Now the car is charging and might be done by 4:45pm PDT today, maybe, as the car just says what time it'll be done, not what day...

So I guess I'm having a good day today.

Well I just came in from outside where it's a lightly frosted 0C (feels like -2C), though there's still 30mins to go for that frost to improve some,

Anyhow it must be time for another coffee before that sun breaks over the horizon.

Cheers.

Temp after a brief thunder induced downpour is 98F & Fair, predicted high of 106, rain: 0.17", temp inside 78, Weatherunderground android app running slowly on phone and not wifi signal.

I have at least 1 or maybe 2 clocks to reset thanks to the storm, still a 9% chance of more rain.

I'm beat.

Who are you guys? /s

Lots of cloud here but no rain of late...

... Into the night...

And all's quiet.

All is quiet on the western front!

The new 1st street bridge is almost complete which means the old bridge is going to be demolished soon as it's a dangerous span from the 1930's that was modified in 1943, the demolition is supposed to start in July 2024, the new bridge is a solid steel reinforced concrete bridge and is the first bridge to be replaced and in the most need of being replaced, asap the other two bridges on 1st street will be replaced, one bridge that is to be replaced runs over the dried up narrow section of the Mojave River, the second section goes over a wider section of the dried up Mojave River.

Outside temp 100F, rain usually comes from the west here, hence the western front from above, the area received 0.17" of rain today, we were in the Yellow part of a thunderstorm, and the cells were going boom boom all around here, the power was briefly knocked out but came back on PDQ.

I looked outside and the car looked OK, the charging light on the dash is a solid Green instead of Orange or blinking in Green or Orange.

Bonus points: The downpour looks like it cleaned my car's hood off. That means I might have to get some windex out and some towels and clean the car windows and mirrors.

I decided to put off any new tires until January 2025, a Goodyear as a spare will be ok, but the 5th rim sensor has no place in the dash for a spare tire, bummer...

All 4 tires were inflated to 35psi per Chevy instructions left on my driver's door sill.

It's now a brisk 5C (feels like 0C) here as snow starts to fall down at the southern end of this range and seeing as I can;t do much with this hand I'll save on the firewood and just stay upstairs in 20C comfort.

Oh well I might as well get an extra morning coffee in at this time of the day and then work out what I'm going to stream today.

Cheers.

I would post something but Rob would classify it as political and hide it. Best wishes and condolences to the people around him at the time.

The news came through here just before I was going to checkout the free streaming channels.

Oh well it's time to go and check those channels out now.

Cheers.

Seeing that another Sunday has carried on into yet another Monday and the mercury has pulled into Frostville here I better go and see if I can get 6hrs in before the sun comes up.

Cheers.

The only really important topic of the last four weeks in Europe: The European Soccer Championship 2024.
Tonight Spain beat England 2-1 in the final.

The match ended on July 14th at 20:53 UTC.

The last poster in this thread before this moment and winner of this thread is: Victor (zoom3+1=4).

Congratulations on the win.

Good onya Vic.

Well we're off to a 0C (feels like -3C) start here (no snow as yet, but expected down to 1000m) with just 8C being expected today as this antarctic takes hold.

It's coffee time.

Cheers.
