You call 110F 'cooler'? Holy cow! I would not survive there.

Well you wouldn't like being west of this mountain range that I live on top of either where 43C during summer is considered as mild.

The rain has finally moved on from here heading towards Kiwi Land to give our cousins across the gutter a little drink.

We reached our expected max of 12C (felt like 10C) here today and thankfully tomorrow will be dry for my next visit to the quack to have another bit taken out of me, but thankfully the 3 stitches in my nose will also be taken out so that I can finally scratch an itchy nose once more.

Anyhow it's getting close to time to see what I'll be watching tonight.

Cheers.

Here under an otherworldly bright grey overcast, with vague grey blobby bits...

... And despite the heat, it actually feels clammy and chilly!

Meanwhile...

Lots to do! Time flies!

... And has my stomach survived the adventure across the hills and far away through The Food Desert?... Time will soon tell!

Full credit to the 'locals' over there, the training went well as far as it could. Positive and hopeful results were demonstrated far sooner than I could ever hope for. However... It has become apparent that there is a lot of 'habitual' ways and unthinking 'methods' that 'have always been so' and are almost a part of the fabric of that site.

There is a slow willingness to copy 'new ways'... But that all too soon all gets forgotten once even just one person blindly goes through the old motions for then all others to follow in behind to follow the more familiar old well worn way...

(And no, we do not have the option of injecting some 'new blood' into the mix...)

The day has started out at 73F on the way to the mid upper 90s. The AC will continue to be used so the indoor temp can can be kept at 73F. My heat pump is my friend.

Winning now that I'm back home after getting the stitches out of my nose so I can again do something about itches, but it did need to be taken out, and that 1 shouldn't show a scar at all.

Losing with a large chunk taken out of my hand and very many more stitches, I'll be left with a good sized scar from that job though.

Anyhow the Doc said that the hand should be ok to lift a few beers at the pub today for a fast approaching LLB time. ;-)

Cheers.

That is a extreme way to lose weight Wiggo. So what did you do to be eligible to go under the knife? If you don’t mind telling your loyal concerned public?

Did this hand reduction have anything to do with wood piles?

Just having a couple of cancerous spots removed is all Admiral. ;-)

We reached a sunny 14C (felt like 11C) here today.

Anyhow the big light is out and Dog has been fed and attached to her shed for the night so now I've just got to decide on what I'll be watching tonight.

Cheers.

Field trip today. The USFS is giving us a tour of the Humbolt-Toyobie National Forest. My company has a contract to design and implement a resiliency program that will enhance the growth of various species while reducing wildfire risks. I will be spending three days in the mountains. But nights at a hotel. Not looking forward to 100+ degree days in the woods.

And lo! Behold! The last of the bits arrived last night. Yay!

Next... To worm around the shoddy pipework to fix "Part 1" of the pipework work. The layout getting 'fixed' has long been something like what you get to see on the old OpenGL Pipes Screensaver!

And this is where I get to practice my Orangutan impressions again...

All good fun?!
