We had metal slides as kids too. The solution was bottles of water to cool them down. Besides getting wet while sliding down added to the fun. We invited water slides! |

.....I've seen that in Australia they are made of concrete instead, with a particularly smooth, polished surface. Funny...I'd say as I've yet to see 1 of those. Anyhow Monday has now become Tuesday here so it's time to get a few hours in. Cheers. |

My 15.1K btu window a/c unit is now powered from my bedroom, and I now have two 120v 20 amp circuits that used to be one 240v circuit and and I didn't spend a dime. Plus I vacuumed the kitchen and hallway of any loose cat hair. All done before my breakfast. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Once again I'm exhausted as I just got done with more cleanup and bagging in the living room and the kitchen, plus I have 1 bag almost full of small boxes and other boxes that won't fit in bags to be taken to the trash bin. But at least it's Quiet in here, even if the temp is 84F inside, plus 108 and Sunny outside. I got the small sofa up on all 4 legs on bug traps so I won't lose another sofa to nasty ticks. And I emptied half a cart, the bottom half, soon the top half, then the cart goes bye bye as it is in the way here and is not needed anymore. But I think I may just go and take a nap for the moment, ugh. I'm going to combine 5 small boxes into 1 larger box since they all contain electronic parts. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! I did have plans for this morning after I went to go and get Dog food, but I stepped out into a heavy misty drizzle so carrot harvesting and sorting out another sun shade will have to wait, though I did get most of my usual Monday morning caught up with. Anyhow I may as well get an extra morning coffee instead as I don't want to go playing around in extra cold water rinsing out beer bottles ATM. Cheers. |

I made 2 bags and 2 large boxes ready for the trash and put an empty bag in the can, the cart is empty and I had a nap. Moved a pc tower case so that I can empty it asap, the case has a motherboard and such in it and the case feels heavy, what's inside will go into a lighter weight case that is also mostly cube shaped. Moved a Chewy box with some parts in the box to my freezer so I can empty 4 or 5 smaller boxes into the Chewy box. The outside temp hit 109F today & is 105 now, at 4pm the temp was 104, inside the temp with the 2nd bathroom door open the temp is now 86, sunset here is at 8:06pm PST. My new bathroom faucet will be here after I go to the Post Office to pickup the mail on Tuesday, hopefully the CAPSBC Weatherization forms will be in there too. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! I just discovered that one of the trees at work is a cherry tree. I picked about 2 lbs when I left today. |

Wiggo. I thought that we had a screwed up power grid get rich by robbing the consumers plan. But this is TOTAL BS. Makes one want to go off grid. Home owners to be charged for feeding solar power into the grid. |

That's insane, hopefully someone will fix that or else Australia is going to get a new Energy Minister... Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Makes one want to go off grid. That was just a bit of right wing fossil fuel B.S. that didn't make the headlines anywhere else in the end. But in 2 more years batteries will be installed here so that I can be free of the grid if I want. Cheers. |

Oh, probably they are rare. I've seen them on large playgrounds in tourist hot spots. Its concrete construction also looked expensive (compared to metal construction)......I've seen that in Australia they are made of concrete instead, with a particularly smooth, polished surface. Funny...I'd say as I've yet to see 1 of those. Example: Whale Playground, Scarborough Beach, WA: B.t.w., I have never seen such large, elaborate (surely expensive), great playgrounds anywhere in Europe as you can find in Perth on the oceanfront, at the old harbor, or in parks. |

Hot, local temp will be 108F again today here. I still have a few boxes to collapse and take to the trash, and then I have a chrome plated microwave oven cart to label as FREE and take outside and put under my car port. Plus I need to see about my mail and a faucet. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

The mercury made it to 13C (felt like 11C) here today, but it's now down to 7C (feels like 6C) with a damp 4C being expected in the morning. It also doesn't look like I'll get these outside jobs done anytime soon according to the 10 day forecast. Cheers. |

Yay, overnight, I escaped the food desert. Almost like a clandestine dash before the locals noticed! Today, enjoying the high heat :-) (Well, high heat for here, that is, at a gentle +28 deg C, 25 deg C in the shade.) With that... Comes some hot frustration with a badly unreliable comms link... Still waiting to hear about fixing that tonight. Meanwhile, time for a break and some food, yum. Ah the joys........ It's (for me) too hot outside, but I had to go out earlier today. So, I get in the car, and very unusually turn the air-con on. £%^&*() it's blowing HOT air at me - dig around and find a suitable temperature probe and stuff it into one of the dashboard vents. $%*$&U*%^&* the incoming air is at 40C instead of a nice cool 10-15C. No surprise that the interior was getting hotter not cooler. Booked in for a re-gas tomorrow morning after which, hopefully, a nice cool 18C cabin temperature will be resumed. Soon I will make the journey to pick up my mail @ the US Post Office in 103F heat, of course they are closed until 1pm PST for lunch, so I made preparations to get under way, my cars a/c works still. So I just have to grin and bear it, temp inside is 82 and everything is quiet, not even a mouse is peeping, especially with 3 cats here. I'm still recovering from yesterdays furious activity.
