While daylight here will get longer. Anyhow we got off to a frosty -2 (felt like -5C) start here today with 13C being expected. There's also a by election going on here today so when I finish this coffee I'll rug up and get that out of the way before heading back to the supermarket for a few things before deciding what I'm going to do for the rest of the day. Cheers. |

I just got back from the Hot ride to the Post Office, I had an envelope type package there, it had two green rubber remote covers in the envelope, black remotes at night are so hard to see, temp is 101F and Sunny, predicted has gone down to 102 from 104, humidity? 10%. The car a/c works, I just turn it up, the car mentioned 110-111, the battery gets preconditioning power above 90 and below maybe 40. Chitty is just happy that I'm home. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! Now that I got those things out of the way I might as well get my last coffee in for the morning before heading out to do some more winter pruning. We've just hit the 6C mark (feels like 3C) here. Cheers. |

I looked around for an electric clothes dryer and found the following: Howards Appliances: Victorville CA location Closed, permanently, in 2021 the store was Midway Appliances, now they are gone. Home Depot: Available, but has no installers in this area and with FREE delivery and no haul off, plus their least expensive is $617.70 delivered. Lowes: Has a dryer and could do an install and delivery for about $664.17 Best Buy: Can do it all and includes haul away for about $655.17, $9.00 less than Lowes. Barstow Appliances: I have to call and ask, I saw a gas dryer there for $900, no thanks, gas is expensive here to use. Best Buy seems to be where my next appliance will come from. After 90mins of more pruning and filling the bin again we're now at 11C (feels like 7C), but working away in a sun trap had me breaking out in sweat so I'm ready for a beer or 3 for LLB time. Cheers. |

Temp is now 99F outside, I'm getting closer to changing 3 tires on my car, hopefully I can get the pressure on all 4 to be 35psi instead of 37 or 33... Of course I'll have to fill my car with 3 tires and 2 wheels and hopefully the "new" wheels sensors work or just need new batteries, all 4 wheels will be 15x6" and all the tires will be 185/55-15. Blame a geology student. When I was in college geology, I often picked up large rocks in one place and left them somewhere they did not belong. We did it to frustrate future geologists. I am not saying I left it there, but I am not the only geology student who may have done that. I am sure Martian geologists had a sense of humor when they were around. |

Hikers also do that - I used to pick up a rock from a hillside, then put it down on my next walk somewhere along the path Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Well I reckon that I've got everything done in preparation for the damp Sunday ahead and now I'm tossing up whether to hit the sack for a while or try to hold off longer. The mercury here also reached our expected 13C (felt like 10C) max. Cheers. |

Moderate thunderstorm yesterday evening. I got caught in the downpour on my bike 1 km from home. Should have looked at the radar. Some rain this morning and a sunny afternoon. |

I found a great British Pub in Reno. Real fish and chips plus a decent hard cider. |

I'm starting to wonder when we'll get a dry Sunday here, but we have got to a damp 8C (feels like 6C) so it'll take some sunshine (once this rain passes) to get to our expected max of 12C. Anyhow you guys are making me hungry so I better go and see what I can fix up for lunch that'll warm the old insides up a bit. Cheers. |
