I was landed on by Grace, yep I'm a part time flat top... Tanks for the win, Carlos. It seems like forever since I last won. Back to posting and what you have all been waiting for, here are da Rules: ------------- 1. The winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules. 2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, the old winner posts a declaration of the new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.) 6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's. 7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post) 8. No posts from the ISS or from the TSS. ;) Just making sure yer woke up. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Congrats again Vic. Anyhow I'm just taking a cool down break as the temp hits a muggy 21C, but I did get the watering done, the last compost bay lined with cardboard and uncovered 20m of concrete edges manually which already has me with over half a wheelbarrow load of grass for the current compost bay to enjoy (and my back could do with a rest as well). Cheers. |

Thanks Wiggo, my secret, I don't try, I just play hard to get, still I sometimes get caught. I'm in the middle of putting the small sofa up on a tick proof platform, this extra height is easier for me to get off of so I kill 3 with 1 stone. I have to move a cart and a case to get the rear feet elevated, plus I also combined a bunch of empty boxes for the trash. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! Heads up - it's a new thread, this time under Captain Vic. May this thread be clean and good humoured, and sail without any more than the usual amount of deviation than is usual for these threads (that is lots, but not too much). Mike, glad you are home. Take all the time you need, and hope the rehab goes well - we don't want to have to send Nurse Gladys in to look after you. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

... It is amazing how this can inspire people to start doing things the right way... Very tempting! For various variations on that theme... Except they're already under the threat of closure unless we get things working a lot better... ... So... After (just) two days of getting the best numbers we've ever seen, I got called back to Civilisation. Soooo... What calamity was there back at base that required my hasty return?... 'Twas merely for a Management meeting! Admittedly that was a useful meeting but... I just hope we don't backslide on some hard won progress... On a positive note: I've been given the go-ahead to order two big chunks of equipment to modernise the working over there. That will greatly improve safety also. ... And I'm due back there all too soon... My stand-in can only survive until Sunday... Hey ho! Congratulations to both Vic and Mike! Thanks ML1. In a day or so I'll be moving a cart and then adding 2 tick traps under the rear two legs under my sofa, the front is done and they raised my sofa up some and made getting off the sofa easier for me. Meloxicam and acetaminophen seem to be working, though the acetaminophen jar stinks, though the jar seems to be stinking less now. And today is wash day. This area has a 40% chance of rain, and the wind is from the east at 19 mph w/gusts at 32 mph @ 56F, I'm glad that I don't need to go anywhere. Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
