Under a bright grey murk...

And enjoying a fantastic brew in a beautiful new pint sized coffee mug!

... And here's hoping the promised cavalry soon turn up to help with an upgrade.

Only then may I make my escape to civilisation today!!

Well it took me all morning, 1 charge, a tank of fuel and 9 heavy catcher loads to mostly tame my front yard (thanks to a blown stormwater pipe and plenty of rain) and the half a driveway that I didn't get to last time (because of of said rain) so now the mower and I are taking a break and cooling down (me with a few beers while the mower is in the shade waiting for more fuel (it may have to wait until tomorrow for that).

I also had to put up with a few lite showers while I was at it and I'll have to run over parts of the front yard again in a couple of days so it can dry out further and get it back to the usual height.

The line trimmer is fully charged again, but I'll see how I feel after those beers as to whether I take that back out for another 30-40min run around the backyard.

Anyhow it's now up to a breezy, overcast and steamy 21C (feels like 19C) here while still threatening more of that wet stuff.

Cheers.

Still snowing outside. Sidewalk and parking lot look wet. Grass and cars have a couple of inches of snow on them.

Winning on a Hump Day morning as a glow begins in the east.

I got 11 heavy catcher loads of grass off the backyard yesterday with the mower set on its highest cut setting. :-O

Today I hope to get a final cut of the front yard in and a high cut of the laneway done today before that rain out west gets here.

Anyhow it coffee time.

Cheers.

Cloudy but no rain until tomorrow. Another big storm heading our way this weekend. Expecting more snow in the Sierra and local flooding.

Over 5 days time this area had its rain, like about 2.75", plus some snow in the local mountains.

I have seen that Death Valley Lake has returned.

Well the veggies are prepared for a warm day (a muggy 27C is expected today), but the crazy pumpkins are now making it very hard to water them and the potatoes with a watering can (I may have to look into a small pump for those IBC's next), and I got half of the laneway line trimmed before it ran out of charge (what a soggy jungle that is) which is just cooling down before it starts recharging again.

Anyhow it's time for my 3rd coffee of the morning before I pull the mower out again and nail that front yard again (after 2 days it should be a bit drier so that I can cut it lower).

Cheers.

Oy - Martin, your errant plumber has escaped again :-(

And not by half measures either!

By 'eck, we've got a rollercoaster of weather!! From sunshine to deluge and now whimsical murk grey with bright bits, and...

Well, there's been an expensive looking landslip nearby. And all well beyond soggy... Is this an export of the infamous Ukraine soggy??...

And yep, the jobs are stacked up. This trying to fix/rescue the remote site is getting to be exhaustingly disruptive...

So... I'm catching up with a now immediately essential upgrade that has been long planned and carefully planned out since last year... Except now, everything is at 100% capacity and the great plan has turned out to be a frustrating start and a new head-scratcher at every step. Or rather, at every juggle of a towers-of-Hanoi puzzle of moving equipment around to get in to get anything done!

At least we had one good giggle... In haste, I was determined to heft off a panel which is a two-man lift/manoeuvre... Except I couldn't get it to budge. Much hilarity and great scoffing ensued about my missing breakfast or that of being vegetarian... Until I thought the movement felt a bit strange... And lo! The thing was still bolted to the floor panel upon which I was standing! Duh...

In short, busy!

(And very good to enjoy civilisation and my more usual group!)
