Well I'm going to see if I can get back to sleep again after an interruption.

Cheers.

Well were you able to fall back to sleep? I was. We had a fire near my house. Six trucks, several patrol cars, and a helicopter all responded. It woke me. It was over a 1/2 mile away. I got dressed and walked up the levy to see it. When I saw it posed no risk, I then came back and went to sleep.

I did Carlos and I enjoyed it. :-)

Well Thorsday got off to an 11C (felt like 10C) start here while 27C is expected and as soon as the dew dries I'll be out to attend to the grass.

Anyhow I'll get a coffee or 2 in before then.

Cheers.

After an 10C (felt like 9C) start here we're again under a clear sky with 30C being expected today which maybe followed by storms later on.

Anyhow it's time for a coffee as I wait for the dew to dry so that I can finish off the yard before more days of rain arrive.

Cheers.

Blustery breezy still after the storm.

... And I'm tediously stuck in the food desert, likely across the new year, on an ongoing call out... At least progress looks to be ahead of schedule. Top marks to those jumping in to fix the significant breakage immediately early on!

And my good food hamper is too quickly running out. And I may as well get updated on new technical areas rather than suffer the lack of anything much around here... At least there is one (and only one) stout served within walking distance. Yep, that's me all geekie in the corner! At least the yocals/locals are benign enough...

All part of the fun. Will see if a relief can make it over to share the fun around the New Year...

Just taking a break in cool 18C (feels like 15C) comfort while outside it's already 24C, but all is ready for a quick run around with the mower now to finish the yard off.

Anyhow I guess I better get the mower ready now.

Cheers.

Guess I’ll move the thread on for Wiggo. Cold dry weather and no proper working furnace. Glad to have a decent space heater in my flat. Just have to put it in the room I’m in at the time. Now if I had a heated seat in the bathroom…

Message 2130506 - Posted: 29 Dec 2023, 5:36:36 UTC

After a few beers and a feed up at the pub the temp here is now at 29C (feels like 26C)while it's now at 23C (feels like 21C) inside the wind tunnel.

Anyhow after I feed Dog in a couple of hours I'll see if I can get the rest of the backyard mowed down to a normal level as due to the length of grass and still damp ground I had to do a +2 on its 1st cut yesterday.

Anyhow, back to the cricket.

Cheers.

Paid rent for January and talked to management about the furnace again. Management said they would try again to get it working properly. The space heater does a decent job at heating but not like a furnace. The temperature outside is at Frostville.

Well I got my yard totally under control again just in time for at least another 6 days of rain and storms so it could be out of control again the next time I can get to it.

Anyhow I'm calling it a night here.

Cheers.

Cloudy and 50f/10c with Hydrological Outlook. When did they change the term from Flood Warnings? We have High Surf and Gail warnings along the coast and small craft advisories in the bay. Rain is expected here at about 3 and high tide is expected just before 5 Pacific. Interesting weather day. All we need are some earthquakes and a volcano or two.

... Hydrological Outlook...

Grand pretentions from the uneducated for the uneducated?...

Meanwhile, hydrologically, I'm enjoying a much needed Poretti lager. Not my usual drink but at least this is a much more healthy location than elsewhere around here on a Friday...

And for good food, by the electromagnetic magic of microwave waves, I'm having to cook my own! How do you explain that on expenses??!!!

After this morning's 5mm dump we managed to dodge this afternoon's storms while reaching 27C (felt like 25C) today.

Anyhow it's time for me to call it a night.

Cheers.
