It's a cold morning, 45f and clear. We expect rain this evening and then tomorrow. |

The sun has set and the temperature has fallen from a mighty 2C to -1c in about 30 minutes. Clear sky so it's going to go down even further. I hope Martin has his furry whatiz on . Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Winning on a dull Saturday morning in the highlands without any rain falling, but that could change yet. Anyhow it's time to turn the jug on. Cheers. |

While here in the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Mercia it is freezing fog I know a place about ten miles away where it may be cold but the sun is shining... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Cloudy but reasonable, 52f rising to about 65f today. Didn't even turn on the heat this morning. The house is holding at a comfortable temp. |

Here we have Christmas card scenic views with frost on frost and wisps of fog. And yep, it's rather cold. But with a surreal calm. The air is almost too heavy for even a breeze. And there's lots to do despite the lack of temperature! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

It was 37F last night, current temp 56, predicted high 62. Hot Water after 17 years is out cold... I do have 15' of 12-2 romex and a BR225 25 amp Westinghouse/Cutler Hammer breaker on the way, that should be enough for a 30 gallon electric water heater w/a 4500w element, damned inconvenient if you ask me... I may have to return the 15' of romex for 25' of romex, hopefully not even though I did measure, I did not know there is a junction box built in to the top of US water heaters, I supplied a weather proof junction box too. I get a newer car that I need and the water heater just has to go out, it couldn't have waited until Jan 1st 2024? Savoir-Faire is everywhere! Winning on a sunny Sunday morning after a 10C (felt like 9C) start here with a windy 26C being expected. Anyhow I've said g'day to Dog and tended my veggies (which I'll have to do a bit of this week as they reckon that it's going to get very hot here) so I reckon that it's time for my 2nd coffee break of the morning. Cheers. |

Cancelled the unneeded junction box, will return the 15' of romex when UPS delivers the box here, ordered 25' of 12-2 romex instead all for some hot water. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

After almost 4hrs out in the yard enjoying the sunshine catching up on things I started getting too hot as the temp reaches 23C (feels like 20C), but for most of it I was protected from that cooling breeze that should soon turn into a wind, so now I'm ready for a beer or 3. Cheers. |

Just reading the last couple of days posts. Just what you need Martin. Salad fixings on the way. Just read Wiggo’s frozen post. Hope for a full recovery and no permanent shrinkage or damage to the rest of it. |

....Just read Wiggo’s frozen post. Hope for a full recovery and no permanent shrinkage or damage to the rest of it.Yes, he might want to invest in some of these next time. ;-) Anyhow I've had enough of outside for a while and a spinal reset sounds like a really good idea about now. Cheers. |

We made it to a steamy and windy 26C (felt like 22C) here today when some clouds turned up to stop it from getting any warmer. Anyhow I might get back into doing a bit more metalwork tomorrow, though how long I last outside will be another story as 28C is expected. Cheers. |

Thanks for the airdrop! That sneaked in just before the freezing fog rolled over... Yum!! Meanwhile, I made my escape and have safely returned to the land of healthy food. My escape was under cover of darkness and frost, late last night/morning, and just as the snow rolled in... Ideal weather for clearing off all the other idiots off the roads! I've a few days to go healthy again before next time... I'm definitely packing a few extra supplies! ... And too many of the people over there really are worryingly not healthy. And sad or zombied or slow-motion slow with it. Depressingly incredible. And absolutely zero interest in enjoying a stonkin' good hot Indian curry or anything even remotely healthy... There's far too many super-sugar plastic poisoned fizzy drinks over there to blow their brains out... Hey ho! Back to a healthy new world, beers and debrief, and put-the-world-rights comes later. No little bits of snow is going to stop progress! (Regardless of the farce claimed on the news...) Enjoy!! Waiting for parts and a car, the parts are to replace a water heater and to get a charge here, I left a message with the car transport company, they must be wanting to wait until after new years cause they missed the date for the estimate and their software says my address doesn't exist so I have to pay them via zelle instead of via my bank debit card, being a bit of a nag paid off, now the car is being shipped on Sunday Dec 7th 1941, er Monday Dec 4th 2024, the car unknown to me was scheduled for Tuesday the 5th it seems... The car can't be held by the seller too much longer as it's not their car any more and they would like it off of their lot. Everything else will almost fix itself since this is a weekend and Amazon and Paypal are off. But I can charge the car at home, 120v is slow @ 3.3Kw, but 240v will get installed in March 2024 I think. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |
