Message 2127304 - Posted: 21 Oct 2023, 5:59:50 UTC

Posting after another busy morning outside cooking in the heat before enjoying a few beers and a feed up at the pub.

I was going to try and get a spinal reset in, but at 26C (feels like 23C) that won't happen as yet.

Cheers.

It's warming up quickly here just as the wind starts picking up with the temp already at 19C (feels like 16C).

I just hope that the wind doesn't get too carried away as I don't want to be wrestling metres of plastic sheeting out in it.

Anyhow it's time for a 2nd Sunday coffee.

Cheers.

We reached a very warm and windy 28C (feels like 23C) here today, though I did manage to battle the wind to get my 1st huge wicking tub ready for my compost guru to go into it which I'll mix up tomorrow morning as it just got far too hot and windy to do today.

I've had butternut pumpkin seedlings popping up over the last 2 days and my 1st potato plants just started to show up today.

Anyhow it's again time to call it a night.

Cheers.

And by 'eck, there is a lot of sogginess out there.

Hopefully my roads and tracks are still nicely in place and not under mud and water...

I'll soon be finding out...

Winning on a Monday morning where it's 8C (felt like 6C) with a summery 28C is again expected here.

Anyhow time for a coffee before doing the weekend dishes.

Cheers.

Cerro Gordo Ghost Town needs a better road and storm drainage thru the narrows.

Yep... There was mud and water and in some places gravel and shingle where tarmac should have been... Hopefully that gets cleared up before my return. Regardless, just in case, I'll be returning via a slightly slower but much lower route.

... And... So... Here am I, with full mechanical toolkit and... The fixes needed turn out to be software, wetware, and untangling a tangled history of numbers...

At least the extra metalwork aided in extra traction on the muddy bits!

And hopefully I get to return before my emergency supplies run out!

(Not sure I can put online food/beer orders on expenses...)

During an extended road trip today the temp here did reach 29C (felt like 25C).

[edit] But I can see now that I'll crash soon and be up again at silly hours.

Cheers.
