I have 2 more possibly frosty mornings still to get through here before another quick taste of summer and then it goes all over the place with some more rain thrown into the mix Admiral. Anyhow I'm trying to see out this 1 day match between us Aussies and the Kiwis. Cheers. |

It’s definitely sliding into colder fall/winter patterns here. |

Yep, it's gone back to a dark damp chilly wet. And we still have one 'hut' temporarily marooned on its own island. I suppose we could send the commandos in to get wet 'n' muddy to rescue the cake and biscuits for the fun of it! Meanwhile, how many emails got stacked up?!... All good fun? Sort of winning on a sunny Sunday morning after a 6C (felt like 3C) start here (that I missed) while 22C is expected. I was hoping to be almost finished brewing by now, but staying up extra late watching the cricket ruined that plan. Anyhow it's certainly past time for a coffee so I better get 1. Cheers. |

Cerro Gordo still needs a reliable water well, currently the mine is yielding 500 gallons a day from the 700' level of a 150 year old Silver/Lead/Zinc mine that is slowly crumbling, some drifts have been collapsing due to old rubbery waterlogged timbers and the ground itself. Plus the circa 1865 Hoist takes 45 minutes to get 2-4 people out of the mine or to put people into the mine, I think the Hoist is slowing down. They have Brent(the main owner) up there, plus 3 Alpaca's, 6 goats(2 were recently born @ 8500', yes the population is booming from 4 to 6), 6 chickens, and 7 house cats. The Town is wired for electricity and has a cell tower. They can get snow as late as April and Death Valley is about 7 miles away. Oh and the town has a Library, built in to a former Dynamite adit which is not part of the mine. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

We've just hit the 14C mark (feels like 11C) here as I'm about to enjoy my 2nd cuppa for the day as I contemplate the day ahead. Well there is the Supercar racing down on the Gold Coast, the Superbike Championship further up the coast at Surfers Paradise and tonight's World Cup Cricket match from India. I can see another long day ahead of me yet again, but at least it'll be a restful Sunday. Cheers. |

Well ATM it looks like the Poms might have the upper hand in the cricket, but I'll find out the result of the match in the morning. Cheers. |

Good luck with that Blurf. Well the fog went away downstream only to be replaced by smoke haze and after a 7C (felt like 5C) start here we're now up to 13C (feels like 11C) on our way to an expected 25C. Anyhow once I've had this coffee break it'll be time to go outside and remove the frost protection from my veggies and plant some seeds in my huge wicking tub. Seeing as there's no cricket on tonight I should get into my brewroom tomorrow morning feeling fresh and not half asleep like the last few mornings. Cheers. |

A westerly breeze removed the smoke haze while I removed the frost protection and planted more very seeds everywhere so now I'm getting my last coffee break in for the morning before heading back out there to finish off yet another little project so that I can start moving my small wicking tubs from along side the shed where they're starting to get shaded over to the shelf above the back of my compost bays. Now back to this coffee. Cheers. |
