Thanks Mike for the winning vote. ;-) The following are the Rules: ------------- 1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules. 2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.) 6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's. 7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post) Don`t forget to have fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Thanks for the congratulations - I just thought it was about time I stood a round instead of just standing around... And Wiggo can comment on being close or not. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I think that we have a while to go yet before we get close. :-) I just wish that this unusual autumn weather would rack off so that we can enjoy frosty starts and sunny days instead of gloomy skies with an easterly gale blowing. I think that I'll be in for a boring day today. :-( Anyhow I might as well have another coffee. Cheers. |

Well that does it, the mounting parts of the Deepcool Captain line of water cpu coolers is no longer made and Deepcool has no Captain spare parts, plus their Castle line of coolers mounting hardware is incompatible with the earlier Captain line... Back to the drawing board Vic? Finally getting some sunshine happening here now as the temp reaches 15C (feels like 10C), but how long that sunshine will last is yet to be seen with this cold moist air being blown at us. Cheers. |

Back to the drawing board Vic? For the moment, the only real parts I can't get are the long bars and the plastic back plate, but since I only need the long metal bars for two intel cpus, they could be be cnc'd after being reverse engineered, I asked Deepcool to release the parts and designs into the public domain if they are not going to use them again, I'll mention if they do get back to me on this, the screws and such they still make, I have the shorter bars but they're for AMD cpus only. Any Deepcool Captain cpu cooler without a way to mount them on a cpu is worthless. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

About three hours to sunrise here. Wet rainy and cold. Only an occasional thunder sound is softly heard. |

Posting on a Thorsday morning as I wait for sunrise to happen. Coffee time. [edit] The sun has again risen behind thick dark clouds over the coast and the wind is again picking up speed with an 11C (felt like 8C) start and just 17C is expected. Cheers. |

A great thought did happen... Just like a tree falling unobserved in some endless forest, or a dream never remembered, need a thought exist if it is not in some way acted upon?... Enjoy! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |
