... So much for a lunch break was that?! So, here we've had the full spread bouncing between sub-zero to strangely mild and heading back to zero and below, with the subsequent chilly wet cold mix of snow, ice, mist, fog, rain, sleet, slush, mush, mud, and soon back to ice. No hint of anything sun-like and too murky for even the best of prismatic polarized sun stones to guide your way along... The new beautifully bright daylight LEDs work a treat to cheer everyone up! Yuk!!!! After a reasonable amount of snow it got a little warmer, and the snow started to melt. Then it started to rain, but the rain wasn't warm enough to really melt the snow, so there's now loads of slush (but not of a very edible form). Now add in the overnight forecast - colder, and after a brief respite of no precipitation, followed by more snow, and lower temperatures.... Tomorrow's weather could be somewhat unpleasant, or worse...... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Yes we do have sunshine here this morning, but for how long will be another story as the rain up in Queensland is going to make another attempt at crossing our border. Well I don't go all that much on that new house slab forming system used across the back lane as it took 2 fellows 5 days to complete the job (it use to take 4 of us 2 days to do the same job without all the modern equipment going around these days), no wonder building houses these days is getting so expensive, and I'd say that they couldn't get the concrete booked in for today either as there's no movement over there at all this morning (the work was passed yesterday mid-afternoon by the building inspector). With a mini excavator and a laser level/measuring unit doing it the old way I reckon that it could be done in close to 1 day with 3 people. Anyhow after completing my domestic chores for the morning I reckon hat it's time for another coffee break. Cheers. |
