Rocket Lab delays 1st US launch due to unacceptably high winds. Rocket Lab's debut launch from American soil will have to wait at least another day after high winds thwarted an attempted liftoff Sunday evening (Dec. 18).I wonder if they plan on doing a "Huey Catch" with this 1? Cheers. |

That would be just far too sensible. That said way back in the 1950s & 1960s the US did do trials with catching much smaller objects by flying aircraft into a long line connecting the object to its parachute - with varying degrees of success.
