They decided to have a work shift tonight. Missing some people do to weather road conditions. At least we will get our 40 hours in this week. Don’t want to drive home on that frozen slushy mess of a road after work. Will try to keep the greasy side down and out of the ditches.

This is what I call inventory weather. Count all your fingers, toes, arms and legs before going outback. Then count everything again to see if anything’s been frozen off.

Well, well, well, what a sea-change...

Fair fine sky, patches of clear blue, mild and calm. The surface water is receding. And enjoying a nicely quiet lunch break. Have the rest of the locality sneaked off sunbathing?

Meanwhile, spoilt for choice for which task to clear next...

To be decided over food and a brew...

They are not doing that here. Not even after sauna. The temps -9°C with a-14°C wind chill.

There'll be no sunbathing going on here either as this damp weather is expected right through until next weekend at the very least.

My yard will be a jungle again by the time it dries out enough to get the mower back onto it. :-(

Cheers.

It's very depressing TV here in the early hours of a Saturday morning. The choice is between news on the Russia/Ukraine war or shysters trying to sell crap. :-(

Maybe I should go to bed.

Cheers.

Well so far that weather that has been battering SE Queensland for the last few days has staid on that side of the border, but it's still damp enough on this side of it.

I doubt that I'll get much done again today.

Cheers.

Over here, we have really weird broad tendrils of frost forming on any exposed surface. Looks almost like broad fields of grass blowing in the breeze, but flat 2-d and frosty white.

Never seen that before over such large areas!

And the stars are very brightly shining...

Enjoy!

Wouldn't you just know it, the rain returns as I finish an armful of books and my library is down in the shop. :-(

I don't think that my books would like a trip of about 25m outside in wind driven rain (I know that I wouldn't).

Cheers.

That weather that has been battering SE Queensland for the last few days has now crossed the border and is starting its hit here.

Hopefully it dropped most of its load on the other side.

Cheers.
