I know. Quoting my own MRI report "Findings of leptomeningeal enhancement in the left parietal and occipital lobes, concerning for leptomeningeal carcinomatosis" Fortunately a month later it said "Has resolved." A hundred blood tests and a full body CT later and the answer is: ??? Good luck on your journey and may the destination be pleasant. |

A short update: I now have a provisional date for a colostomy operation - the 13th of January. I am currently having a series of Pre-Op phone and physical meetings with the various teams that are involved, with the last, anaesthetics one, on December 21st, My self-defence (dark) sense of humour is working overtime at the moment to keep me upbeat and smiling. Stay safe everyone, and don't skip those Bowe (and other) Cancer checkups! Happy Crunching, Graham |

I was told I could be having skin cancer, so to all who may be having cancer I send my best wishes. But also that speedy recovery is a better thing to say than swift recovery, but depends on the translation. Or perhaps not, but that it should be still about lymphocytes and blood cells when also that of therapy. |

My Operation date is now the 31st of January. They expect me to be in the Hospital for about 5 days after the keyhole surgery. The delay is to allow me to lose some more weight and get fitter. Onwards and upwards. My sense of humour is being worked hard but is mostly surviving, as am I. Take care everyone, and thank you so much for your thoughts and wishes. Do get those cancer screenings done!! Happy Crunching, Graham |

I hope all goes well. Both of my grandfathers had a baggie installed. So I kinda know what you are going through. |

That reminds me of a young child I encountered a few years back..... At a very tender age he had to have a colostomy, of which he was immensely proud. He would show it off to unsuspecting adults at the most inappropriate moment with the phrase "I poo in a bag, how do you poo?". Hi everyone, This is a short update. I saw the Stoma nurse on Thursday, and she was very happy with how the stoma was looking, and with the way I was looking after it. yay! I saw the Surgeon yesterday (6 weeks after surgery consultation), he said the Barbie butt was looking very good, and that I could shower now. I had a shower and Wow, it felt good! The not-so-good news is that I am going to need MRI scans in another 6 weeks, and then at 6 and 9 months after the op, they will then decide on the future scans. This is because there is a possibility that the Cancer could come back. Happy Crunching, Graham |

Great news you can now have a shower with Barbie - just make sure Ken doesn't see you at it ;-) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
