Katie Couric got her job axed because she was too outspoken. It's swinging back the other way. The pendulum does indeed swing both ways. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |

It was v2.0's fault for not doing the right thing in the 1st place and continually passing it off as nothing but a "Bad Cold". If you think any different then you're living on a different world to the rest of us. |

Anything set in place today will take at least a couple of weeks to take effect and in that time several thousand will die, many thousand more will be confirmed as being infected and a number of those will die. All that is due to the nature of the virus which is well beyond the control of scientists and politicians. However, had Trump followed the advise given by the likes of Fauci, or the lead of governments around the world then there would have been fewer infections, fewer deaths and a smaller number of "residual" cases today. By treating this current Corona virus as a minor ailment, a short lived ailment and so not imposing the wearing of masks and travel restrictions Trump undoubtedly aided and abetted the virus in getting America to the top of the very sad table of shame (and I have to add here that the UK government hasn't done that well either). What else could be done? A total long-distance travel ban, so no snowbirds travelling down from the north to sunnier places for the winter; closing of "non-essential" shops; the mandatory wearing of masks in all shops and the the like; mandatory isolation for returning US citizens & residents (three weeks minimum - it would appear that some of the strains in other parts of the world have longer incubation periods - I think the UK has dropped a ball here). None of these measures would be popular, but would people rather be alive and healthy while following unpopular rules, or very ill/dead. And it looks like Katie Couric fell on her butt while trying to jump on Biden's never-Trump bandwagon. Katie Couric 'Jeopardy!' gig in peril? Producers fear she's 'too polarizing' after anti-GOP comments: report. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |

To polarising? Really? Jentleson added that McConnell, by failing to speak out earlier, had “offered legitimacy” to Trump’s war on the truth: “Other Republicans took their signals from McConnell and continued to fan the flames. You can blame the rioters, but the entire Republican Party was telling them their claims were legitimate.”She must have read that. Would all this have happened if a maximum of 4 terms served in Congress had been the rule? |

Well, as a mainstream television show, they have a grasp on the fact that nearly half of the country did vote FOR Trump, and they cannot afford to alienate almost half of the television audience with a decidedly politically biased host for the show. And, yes. I am all for shorter term limits. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |

It's about time you learned to count - the eligible voting population is about 200 million, only about 150million in total voted, and less than half of that figure voted for Trump, and just over half of that figure voted for Biden. Thus only about a third of the US population voted for Trump, r to put it another way about two thirds did not vote for him - get your facts in line before making such bold and inaccurate statements. Yes - who was POTUS when the pandemic was first idenifed? Who said "It will be over by Easter"? Who said "It's no worse than a cold"? Who did nothing about preventing the spread? Hmmm, let's think. Who was POTUS at the time each of these statements was made by the POTUS? (I'll give you a clue, it was not Biden). And it's about time you stopped massaging the numbers. I am referring only to those who actually exercised their right to vote. I think lthat 74 million vs 81 million is close enough to use the term 'almost half'. Those that didn't vote don't count since they didn't care enough to do so, regardless of their political views. Real not "fake" facts. Biden won 81,283,098 votes, or 51.3% of the votes cast. He is the first U.S. presidential candidate to have won more than 80 million votes. Trump won 74,222,958 votes, or 46.8% of the votes cast. That’s more votes than any other presidential candidate has ever won, with the exception of Biden. (Third-party candidates picked up 1.8% of the votes cast.) Another update for the Constitution. No citizen upon attaining the age of 70 shall be an eligible candidate for the presidency. If those updates were in place then we would never had seen the likes of this. The President’s behaviour toward the candidates led the insider to a simple conclusion: “Trump is a thug.” |

Those that didn't vote don't count since they didn't care enough to do so, regardless of their political views. Or, like a couple of friends, don't like any of the candidates and would vote "None of the above" if the option were available... Those that didn't vote don't count since they didn't care enough to do so, regardless of their political views. I'm sure that many of those who didn't vote couldn't stomach either Biden or Trump. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |

Over half the voters in 2016 voted for Clinton. So by your logic in the Trump period he should have been ignored, because not enough people voted for him. |

I believe this will enter the history books. The first time that "Profits 1st" served in the interests of a nation. “McConnell had a forty-eight hours like no one else. He became Minority Leader and his Capitol was invaded. Domestic terrorists got inside it this time—unlike on 9/11.” (On that day, Al Qaeda had planned to crash a United Airlines flight into the Capitol, but the plane went down after passengers overwhelmed the hijackers.) Stevens went on, “And what happened in Georgia was incredible. He’s scared to death, too, at how corporate America is responding. Supporting the overthrow of the U.S. government isn’t good for business.” |

Democratic nominee Joe Biden has smashed election records, earning more votes than any presidential candidate in US history. Nearly 2.5 million more than Trump got in 2016. |

Democratic nominee Joe Biden has smashed election records, earning more votes than any presidential candidate in US history. And Trump came in second, receiving more votes than any sitting president in history. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |
