Well that's 2 things we agree on Mark, JFK & modern reporters. I'm guessing that you miss the "America that was" & dismayed at the "America that is". If so, you are not alone. There are many worldwide feeling the same way. I refer you back to the 2nd of Ed's quotes. |

... a reputable news source... Taking that to mean "Fox News"... Phew! I've just taken a look at their website and... OMG Phew!! Fox News is small potatoes in the questionable news business these days... biased as heck, but at least what they report is true (albeit cherry-picked of course) or clearly marked as editorial/opinion. Where did their 40% of viewers go? To One America Network and NewsMax. These both started as internet-only "news" sites, and now have cable channels with tens of millions of viewers, and little to no factual integrity. For example, they both had official policies and openly presented as "news" the unfounded accusations that the 2020 elections were rigged, with millions of votes being transferred to Joe Biden via Dominion voting systems machines. (Dominion is now suing Rudy Guiliani for $1.3 billion for repeatedly making such claims.) OAN even employs a Russian reporter who is simultaneously employed by Sputnik, the Russian state-owned (Please do check out NewsMax and OAN for confirmation, but I won't link to them.) Meanwhile, Fox refused to present unfounded accusations as news by claiming that Donald Trump had been re-elected. Two of their commentators did so regarding election allegations editorially, so Fox brought in a consultant from Dominion to explain why this was a secure election. But as we know too well: no good deed goes unpunished, thus Fox News has lost a significant percentage of their viewership due to their eyebrow-raising integrity. I've just gone to bat for Fox News... and now the weather. Below zero temperatures and freezing conditions continue to affect the Nine Hells area... ![]() |

Fox News may be small potatoes, but at least they generally report some of both sides. As opposed to the CNN MSNBC sort of 'news. Who generally only report their side of things. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |

Our leader in chief just cannot seem to make up his minds. You know something here doesn't quite seem Incoherent as at first blush. I have a strong suspicion here that attention span of an addicted idiot box user is involved in the formation and expression of these thoughts. Now that does not mean the person who posted here is so afflicted. He or she is likely just passing on others ADD laced thoughts. But here let me explain. The impatience in the quote appears to be a direct product of 15 minute news cycles, TV procedurals, rapid pace cuts in all media. But the procedural seems most guilty. All the worlds problems are solved in 15 minutes. -- 15 minutes of show and 15 minutes of commercial. This generates the expectation that any problem can be solved in 15 minutes. Hence if by the start of the next 15 minute news cycle the problem hasn't been solved then it must be the fault of leader. Most seem able to understand the time something takes, such as going to the restroom. It used to be they could understand the time it takes to drive to the market, but judging by the amount of speeding, that simple skill has gone. When one takes this into account It is possible to see it just as a carping of not understanding the time things take in real life. It will take a decade for each year King Donald was in office to untie the Gordian knot he created, so as to not destroy anything. Yes, it would be easy to simply slice through it, but then you end up with a pile of unconnected pieces on the ground and the two ends are separated. That isn't the UNITED states. |

And the dems don't just want a small victory, they are going for the whole enchilada, including your civil rights. This should REALLY scare you. It would basically gut the 1st amendment, and make it illegal to question the government. It's a communist takeover. Which is exactly what the democrats are trying to achieve. Tucker: Democrats' sweeping 'For The People Act' would 'enshrine fraud,' as lawmakers seek to stifle dissent. Exactly the point. Nobody could find it hidden in that document. You proved my point precisely. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |

Well I guess we are seeing the mocking of those that point out the errors of your former president's ways by his somewhat discredited "news" I ask - Who was president when Covid-19 was identified as being present in the USA? Which US president claimed "It will be over by Easter 2020?" Which US president claimed it was nothing more than a cold? Which US president claimed that face masks, travel restrictions etc. were not required as the virus was under control?
