Best #satire article I have seen so far on the tp crisis:
No Greater Love: Widow Puts Last Toilet Paper Roll In Offering Plate

KIRKLAND, WA—Local widow Ethel McMillan displayed radical love for her fellow man during a church service Thursday night by placing her last roll of toilet paper in the offering plate as it passed

Can confirm there is no loo roll here in the shops. Empty shelves galore!

Don't tell the world, but I have 36 rolls in my emergency zombie apocalypse stash (along with about 3 months worth of food).

Who's laughing at the preppers now?

Dyslexia rules.....
The scare mongers can't tell the difference between Norovirus and Coronavirus - Norovirus is very unpleasant, especially if it strikes when one is out of range of a toilet, while Coronavirus affects the respiratory tract. But both are viruses and.........

Fantastic herd mentality really, and says a lot about how free people really are :-)
I know. But I don't herd well. Then again I don't twit, rumpbook, linkup, rumordoor or ... the fonts of all fake news.

If ones weekly supply of needed toilet paper, needed sanitize items, or anything else, is in short supply for any reason.

All individual's, not withstanding their education, intelligence, et al. Will stock-up these items.

Nothing negative regarding these individual decisions.
Buying 5 years worth when only a few weeks are required, is stupid in my book.
Particularly so when they are also buying 6 months (or more) worth of products, that might have a shelf life of 3 months (and in quite a few cases considerably less).

Anyone who goes through 1 roll of TP in 2 months is constipated.
Or just makes plenty of use of facilities other than their own.

Been to 3 large stores here this morning. Not a roll of toilet paper in sight! Time to open up the apocalypse store then!

Did manage to get some more packet noodles and tinned foods, because it looks like this might go on for some considerable time the way our Government are dithering and being indecisive. Oh and I filled the car with Diesel, although it's supposed to be going at the end of the month IF my new car gets built & delivered in time!

Just got back from my local supermarket and I think the manager there might have pulled a fast one on the panic buyers on Sunday. On one fresh food section, one member staff was busy clearing the shelves and two others were re-stocking. When I got to the aisle where the clearance section is the same staff were slinging some of the items into a bin, marked 'out of date' and the rest was being marked down and put onto the clearance shelves. I have never seen the clearance shelves so full.

You still have them around your way? Couldn't get the police here when I got burgled before Christmas. Gave me a reference number on the phone and a letter in the post 2 days later to say "case closed". Piss useless waste of space - unless you're speeding and THEN they are there!

But, the reason for this post is about the availability of OTC Drugs. Be it Aspirin, Tylenol, decongestant's, etc.

Careful with that. Anti-inflammatory drugs (aspirin, cortisone, ibuprofen and co) are suspected to be a cause of worsening in young healthy patients. Only paracetamol, in moderate quantities, should be safe. In doubt, it's better not to self-medicate.
Gazing at the skies, hoping for contact... Unlikely, but it would be such a fantastic opportunity to learn.

Anyone over 70 is apparently being shortly to be advised to self-isolate for 4 months or risk a £1000 fine.
I will go over the corner shop each day and get a paper and my beer. If any flat footed pointy headed copper tries to stop me it will be to his disadvantage.
Nuff said.

A perfect example of why it will be difficult to contain & prevent spreading.

I live just a bit south of Oklahoma City and tp and bottled water are hard to find in Walmart. I figured if you don’t like tap water then buy a filter. I did just that. I got a Zerowater water container. Can’t say just yet about the taste. But it is better than unfiltered.

Been using a Kenwood for years, still got 4 filters in stock. As for shortage of TP, just buy some kitchen rolls. :-)

The ones that are normally on the empty shelves alongside the TP and the empty tissue shelves:-(

Luckily I brought a pack of 9 TP just after I started my last pack a couple of weeks ago, 7 - 8 months supply in stock for a single male:-)

As for water, never drink it unless its boiled and put in teapot, hard unfiltered water makes better tea, or if its frozen and swimming in a good single malt!

Still available here atm. Have noticed recently that they have stopped selling packs of 8 TP & reduced to 6. :-(
As for the Kenwood, only used it for fruit squash. & agree about the tea. As for coffee, don't use water but hot milk. Lovely taste. :-)

"Kitchen Rolls" ---> US: "Paper Towels"

These ARE GONE, too!!!

COSTCO just implemented Employee 'Guards' that NOW
hand ONE and ONLY ONE package of TP and Paper Towels
to Customers WHO MUST get in a line to receive these
items.

Message 2038310 - Posted: 16 Mar 2020, 16:34:16 UTC

Just got back from attempting some light grocery shopping in Fort Worth TX metro area...
Local grocery store had armed police on each end of the paper goods isle only allowing one package of any TP, paper towels, etc. No hand sanitizer or disinfectant wipes. No asprin or cough/cold meds to be seen. Store had signs on front door stating they are limiting quantity of ALL items to reasonable amounts and it will be enforced at checkouts - no exception. What should of taken maybe 30 minutes to park, enter, shop, pay and exit took almost 75 minutes.

My neighbor who works as a department manager at a local home improvement store told me yesterday they sold out of deep freezers and refrigerators of all sizes. Storage sheds are also in short supply. They also have not had any TP, napkins or paper towels since Wednesday and might get partial shipment some time this week.

The hoarders will do whatever they feel is necessary to overstock their bunkers but not thinking of the average Joe/Jane needing to buy what is needed for the week.

Just been down my local Tesco's, it would be quicker to list what they have still got on their shelves and freezers than whats missing.

Easter eggs are still in good supply:-)

Just remember that they will eventually run out of money. When is the question.
Now they that hoards the most is the winner and a fat target 🎯 when it really hit the fan the hardest.

Even in Sweden:) Many read too much social media. The silly thing is that there are no lack of TP. It's only the suppliers that can't keep up with the deliveries.
