This just goes to show how many sheep there are out there that follow idiots on social media and this all started off with a social media hoax. Last Saturday morning here the idiot "out of towners" hit the little supermarket in our "miles from anywhere" country village to empty the shelves of all stock in just a few hours. :-) They were completely full on Friday when I needed a new pack, though the shelves should be restocked today, but by the time I need to get another pack those sheep may have woken up to their own stupidity. Apparently some sheep are beginning to wake up to themselves as supermarket chains here this morning have put out notices that toilet rolls, pasta, rice and certain other rash bulk purchases will not be eligible for refunds. Cheers. |

This just goes to show how many sheep there are out there that follow idiots on social media and this all started off with a social media hoax. I wonder if they think they are going to put it up on ebay at a dollar a sheet and make a killing. Some idiots are buying 5 years supply! While the TP will stay good, even the dry food will rot. And what they are buying amazes. Seems more like they are putting together a kit for an Earthquake or nuclear attack rather than for a virus. I'm surprised there hasn't been a run on batteries for transistor radios and flashlights yet! I mean, buy some canned veggies and fruits, some tinned meats, some soup and hey, maybe even some condensed cream of mushroom so you can do some casserole. But if you actually have it, all you may want is chicken soup, saltines and seven up. Just remember whatever you buy you are going to eat. Unless you like taking money and putting a match to it. ;-) |

Blast from the Past was a funny movie illustrating what people can do to survive a nuclear blast. But perhaps also a biological blast. Hmm corona virus... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhMQOb0tEmI |

mean that the poo is about to hit the fan? Reporting in from England: Brits have oodles of loo paper with a vast supply of 'fish n chip' paper as back up. Suggest you Americans get used to the squat and teapot method should all else fail. Reports say that sea shells are also in demand. I bet it's those tow-rag Corona virus hoarders to blame. |

mean that the poo is about to hit the fan? Sears catalogs were the old standby, but the new generation is all online so they haven't a clue about how to wipe! |

I have plenty of behind wiping paper. If I were not to have any. Kleenex, Puffs or even paper towels will work. If the world was ending a junk mail wish book catalog will do. |

I nearly became a casualty of coronavirus today. Fell over the pile of freshly-delivered, but not yet shelved, toilet rolls - blocking the entrance to my local convenience store. |

I sure don't buy more than I ever had before, meaning I usually buy enough TP or food or other living supplies for a month since I get paid once a month and I don't have enough storage space for more than that. Forget anything not in metal or plastic or glass, the pantry moths are out here and will get through paper containers. Once the freezer and refrig is full then supplies would have to be stored in the cabinets. In the case of TP, I have about a months worth in the main bathroom under the sink and there is not a lot of room there. And yes I normally buy that much since I don't want to drive 13 miles to get more. My cat Grace has her "sand" in the 2nd bathroom under the sink there and that cabinet is smaller than the main bathroom's cabinet. Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
