I have 2 Windows 10 and one Linux machines running the same mix of SETI@home and Einstein@home in their spare time.

When I looked at them this morning, the two Windows machines have a typical supply of tasks for both projects, but the Linux machine has none and a manual request for new tasks gets a

response.

Looking back in the log, I see a lot of this

just before the "cache full" messages start to appear.

The projects have a 100 Seti/25 Einstein resource share, if that means anything.
The backlog requests are set to 1.0/0.5 days in all three machines.

The Linux machine is running Boinc 7.17.0.

Could the "job cache full" mean that the Einstein tasks on their own have satisfied the quota, and has nothing to do with Seti? The Linux box is a bit of a dog and runs pretty slowly.

Yes, exactly. The cache of E@H gpu tasks have satisfied the 1 day cache setting. Until those have crunched Seti won't be able to ask for any gpu work.

You can manage E@H by setting a very small cache size like 0.1 days. But cache size is global across projects. You need to move the host on your E@H account to a different venue or location than where Seti is assigned. Also change the resource share to favor Seti by a 10:1 ratio over Einstein.

Thanks; that was pure guesswork on my part.

Rather than try to do anything fancy, I'll just put Linux box back to running just Einstein@home. It and its predecessor managed to crank out about 6 million credits over the years doing just that.
