Sounds like a bacterial ear infection rather than Covid-19, I hope I'm not wrong.
Keep drinking cool (not cold) water and taking paracetamol/ibuprofen to help break the fever - well that's what my quack told me a year ago when I picked up an ear infection. I was already on antibiotics for a kidney infection so no more were added to the mix.

I hope you are right too. I've been told to avoid Ibuprofen at all costs at the moment because if I do get Covid-19 it makes it worse - for whatever currently unknown reason.

Although on paper I am burning up, the reality is that I have managed to vacuum right through the house and cut the lawn this morning!

The Sun is shining, I have lots of solar energy being sent to the grid so thought I'd try and use some up today!

Vacuuming done. Lawn Cut. Dishwasher run and now the washer dryer is doing it's thing. Total energy consumption - zero! Lovely. Will even be able to cook a renewable energy lunch today.

All whilst continuing 100% green SETI crunching.

Just a thought - is your thermometer reading correctly?

(If it's a non-contact one try and find another "willing volunteer" and see how hot it thinks they are)

Yes it agrees with the reading I got at work and also with the friends that dropped me home - they insisted on shoving theirs (thermometer) in my ear to prove that work were wrong - and then of course got the shock that it was even higher than work booted me out for because by then I was stressed out and hacked off.

Well it did rain on my cat this morning.

I've got someone coming over to look at the furnace, I hope for the best outcome.

Keep population in mind.
The US has 296 cases per million
Italy has 1,431 cases per million
If you look at the cases per population San Marion with 223 cases had 6,572 cases per million.
Wait do they have a million population?
I really like this stat for the Vatican. 4 cases which translates into 4,994 cases per million.

Well the point is we have more cases than Italy but we have nearly 330 million people compared to Italy's 60 million.

Oh never mind. Just stay isolated and healthy.

I'm still alive & kicking.

There are no doctors to see. The GP service is online only unless you're dying - which I'm clearly not.

I'm feeling fine again this morning. No aches, no sore throat, just a slight fever. Hopefully on the mend and almost certainly not "the" virus.

Keep in mind that Italy were only testing hospitalised cases - which is the same in the UK. The number of cases here is roughly, the number of hospitalised patients, give or take a few hundred. The UK is finally about to start testing the health workers on the front line, to protect both them and the patients.

It is repeatedly said that we are 10-14 days behind Italy, but following the same trajectory, which is a worry, especially as our lockdown is a bit of a joke at the moment with people still out and about enjoying the sunshine!

Edit - worth saying, forget China's numbers, obviously a complete fabrication!

I think the US numbers are not great, though at least the survivors are now outnumbering the deaths which is good news.
The administration won't supply medical supplies or do a nationwide lockdown, making the states compete for supplies and make state level lockdowns.
22 US states are in a lockdown of some sort or another, a National lockdown would have the advantage of being uniform, but noooo that is not allowed...
