Thank you Grumpy Swede and congrats on your retirement. What a night to win. I just read that Seti@Home will stop sending out work on March 31. I was hoping to make the winning number the first post after Mark hit 1 billion credits, but with his current RAC I don't see that happening.

Well I do have a number in mind so let the merriment begin. You can dance if you want too. But be mindful of the rules.

1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules.
2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.)
3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached.
4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them.
5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.)
6. No double posts. Violator buys a round for the house in Rocky's.
7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post)
8. Not a rule but a suggestion. If you are posting pictures reduce to about 400 x 350. Some of the huge graphics really wreak havoc when this is viewed on a phone or pad.

There are other projects to keep us involved. But certainly many of use will stop spending thousands of dollars each year to update equipment and keep it powered on 24/7. My goal right now is to end with number 1 on day of sign up. Need to focus on Seti alone to do that.
