How are Credits Gained?

Newbie here .... So I saw this post https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=83830&postid=1976632 but it didn't quite answer my query - how are points gained? - is it like other forums by the number of posts or replies you contribute? |

You have to install a program called BOINC see the link here: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/ Once you have done that and open BOINC you will be prompted to "join" a project. scroll down to Seti@Home in the project list and join, using the account you created here. Your computer will then download and process work units or WU's and once processed will return the result. Each WU is processed by two users and once both return a valid result you will get "credit". |

Not sure how to do alot on here at the moment, but i wanted to say it is a great thing knowing there are others looking for E.T.'s .... I love what SETI is doing and i am glad to be part of the family now! |
