Not as far as I know, because the BOINC Manager on your Windows system then needs to be able to read the contents of the Seti project directory, which isn't easily done. Not even by third party aops. Or you manage to send specific files from the Linux computer to a directory on the Windows computer and read those. |

You've asked basically the same question twice, in two different threads. There are differences, Jord's answer here is for the "finished" data, which is how I read this question, while mine is for the "real time" data. Two subtly different questions, and two very different answers. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

There are differences, Jord's answer here is for the "finished" dataNot necessarily, the sending of the data to a (shared) directory on the Windows computer can be done with 'live data', you just need to be sure you overwrite the files correctly and have the used GUI re-read the data after each update. A local BOINC Manager (with all its needed .dll files) and a can live in that same directory and be used for that (as long as you set the RunDaemon key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley\BOINC Manager to 0 (zero)). The sending of the live data can be scripted. And what does it need? statistics_*.xml? scheduler_reply_*.xml? |

on my dedicated cruncher computer , i made the boinc and boinc_data folders shared through the network . on the other computer, i run Seti_spirit 3.3.0 , it don't need Boinc.exe to work . and that's ok for me ^^ and i can manage to modify the Xml and command line files to optimize the process easily . |
