I'm running BOINC client version 7.14.2 for x86_64-pc-linux-gnu on Arch Linux 5.1.15-x86_64 on a remote virtual machine with no GPU. I connect to it via BOINC Manager installed on my local desktop and things are chugging along fine. When I select an active task in BOINC Manager, the Show Graphics button remains grayed out. ![]() 1. I have the suggested 32-bit libs installed, where do I start to troubleshoot this? 2. Is the graphics screensaver unavailable on Linux? |

I don't believe it is. Only for old Windows machines. If I'm wrong I hope somebody else jumps in and corrects me. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

As far as I'm aware none of the Linux applications are built with a screen saver. This probably dates back to the early days when most Linux distros were predominately text-only, and graphics were very much an after thought.
