The log showed it went back and forth between downloading and backing off. How do I get going? Thanks! |

The log showed it went back and forth between downloading and backing off. How do I get going? Thanks! One of the download servers has been barely functional for a couple of days. You can go to the Transfers tab, click the stuck work units and then Retry but they will probably just back off again. If you feel adventurous, you can add to your hosts file the following entries: 208.68.240.118 setiboincdata.ssl.berkeley.edu # upload server Oct 2016 208.68.240.119 boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu # download server Oct 2016 208.68.240.126 setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu # scheduler Oct 2016 May have to reboot for this to take effect. |

All i see on my tasks page is "in progress" is that normal? Someone has rudely stomped all over your initial question.... I guess you are looking on your web tasks page, which only gives a much reduced view of what is going on on your computer (in terms of SETI & BOINC) One of the answers is: In the BOINC manager's GUI select "view", then, "advanced view". You will now see a number of tabs, select the "tasks" tab and you will see a list of tasks, the progress for each task etc. Most of the columns are sortable by clicking on the column header - which can be useful when the list of tasks is more than a dozen or so. I hope this helps. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
