It was expected to happen with these slow moving flood lakes. :-(

Fish die, residents suffer in ‘blackwater’ event in Echuca, Swan Hill.

As more storm cells brew up along the ranges.

Stay safe and dry.

Cheers.

Well the month of November (or "Snowvember" as they're calling it further south) kicked off here rather noisily, wet and windy with 41mm being dumped here that'll make those inland lakes bigger and those lake areas copped on average another 50mm dumped on them.

Anyhow for October here our average minimum was up by 1.9C at 7.6°C while our average max was down by 3C at 18.3°C. We also got 50% more rain than on average with 123.75mm.

Our year to date rainfall total is now at 878.75mm which is still ahead of the average 792.5mm as the stuff continues to fall.

Sometime tonight the cold air coming off of all that snow falling down south should reach here making for a very cold day tomorrow.

Stay dry, safe and warm.

Cheers.

Well it was 10yrs ago when it last snowed here in November and it came very close to doing it again last night, but others didn't miss out.

Spring snow blankets Australian ski resorts as Antarctic blast snap freezes south-east.

While other are still being evacuated from floods.

Evacuation orders issued for Wagga Wagga and Forbes as flood risk builds in NSW.

Cheers.

Snow down the southern end of this range, frosts on this section of it and those slow moving flood lakes west of the divide are still growing inundating and isolating more people and places.

NSW flood forecast prompts widespread evacuation orders.

I hope that S.A. is ready for all of this water that's coming their way, when it eventually gets there that is.

Stay safe and dry.

Cheers.

As more rain falls across the state here's the latest on our very slow moving inland floods.

NSW flood: Forbes surveys damage from near-record flood as central west NSW towns brace for inundation.

Stay safe and dry.

Cheers.

No wonder there is so much flooding- It's not unusual to get well above average rainfall here & there, but to have Very much above average rainfall over the entire Murray/Darling system catchment over a 10 month period, with record amounts at many locations, flooding is inevitable.
And the outlook- while moving north, there will continue to be more Above average to Very much above average rainfall in the Darling catchment, and likely to still be Above average rainfall in the Murray catchment, over the coming months.

Interesting to see how Tas has one half below average and the other half above average. Such variation in small island.

Also that the "Darwin area" has mostly had below average rainfall - I thought in that area if it wasn't raining it would be in the next couple of hours (and that the rain was "proper" rain, not some miserable drizzle).

Not so hard to understand Rob when you consider the huge lump that's in the middle of it. ;-)

Well the flood warnings are out again as more rain moves into western districts of the state this morning dumping on already flooded regions making for a wet weekend ahead with this slow moving system.

Thankfully the big numbers that were expected here have been dropping down and we may start to get closer to our average November temps because as it stands now we're down 3.3C on the min and 5C down on the max so far.

Stay safe and dry.

Cheers.

While we have managed to dodge the rain so far, but those out west and down south havn't been so lucky as mud gets washed back into towns that just got it washed out, as those slow moving flood lakes just keep on getting bigger.

Meanwhile reports are just coming in about a huge freight train derailment down in Victoria caused by the soggy ground and thankfully no injuries have been reported.

Stay safe and dry.

Cheers.

While us up this northern end of the state have largely missed out on the dump from this stalled wet system others havn't been so lucky.

Thousands stranded in homes as flash flooding batters Central West NSW, Wyangala Dam spills at record rate.

But then again there are many other dams around the state that are trying to release water before spill as well.

Stay safe and dry.

Cheers.

We might have missed out on the latest "big wet" here, but many others havn't as others in the NW of the state are ready to open up again (if they had roads).

Forbes residents told to evacuate, hundreds rescued as NSW floodwaters begin to move downstream.

Wyangala Dam spillway.

ATM it looks like we'll be in for 5 sunny days in a row and that's been very rare of late here.

Stay safe and dry.

Cheers.

As our floodwaters find new ways to flow towards South Australia.

NSW flood disaster declared largest ever, as international volunteers arrive to help.

Central West NSW residents heartbroken by continuous floods

And severe storms again takes out S.A.'s power link to Victoria creating new problems.

Solar and wind power shutdown forecast as SA remains cut off from national electricity grid.

S.A. is preparing for all that floodwater heading their way.

Authorities warn 2,000 SA Riverland shacks and homes will be disconnected from power amid flooding.

Anyhow stay safe and dry.

Cheers.

As those lakes out on the plains grow so does another problem.

Video shows mosquito population boom in flood-ravaged NSW.

Stay safe and dry.

Well it was a chilly morning in the highlands here this morning as yet another antarctic blast gives us a tickle up for a couple days again. :-(

Stay warm, safe and dry.

I have no idea what they were thinking of by driving in it, but...

Incredible footage has emerged of an Australian “inland sea” after flooding continues to devastate the NSW Central West region.

You wouldn't drive into a fire so why do people have to drive into floodwater?

Anyhow stay safe and dry.

Cheers.

Well we here missed out on most of that last dose of rain, but those west and south of here wern't so lucky, though we're all going to feel the chill over the next few mornings.

Pretty much most of those slow moving flood lakes are joining into a sea.

Stay warm, safe and dry.

Cheers.
