Oh Dog crap no Betreger. :-OI'll just stay inside enjoying a few dark and stormies (it's not really a beer day for meWiggo that is why they make brandy. I'm not that sort of person honestly, but if I had a bottle of Stone's Green Ginger Wine then it would've been "beer with a dash of green". :-D Which reminds me, I got word of a secret enhancing ingredient for my ginger beer brew a couple of weeks ago and today I found out that my local supermarket across the road has it in stock (I got a bottle of it while I was there try) and now I just have to do 210km round trip to get the half dozen cans of ginger beer wort this coming Good Friday (but I was going out there anyway for spirit supplies) to get my Ginger Beer stocks back up again. The bottle of Buderim Ginger Refresher Cordial I picked up is why I'm on the "dark'n'stormies" today and it should not only enhance the ginger flavour of my Ginger Beer, but also send its alc/vol from its current 5% up to somewhere in the 6-6.8%* range (it could very well rival my lager at 6.1%). * Personal testing is required though to verify. Cheers. |

Well it was 2C here this morning (felt like 0C) and you can certainly tell that there is very little moisture left in the ground here now as there's a good frost covering on my compost heap, but very little on the ground itself. We're expecting a max of 16C today, but we'll have a cold and gusty westerly wind to contend with. Cheers. |

It was -2C (felt like -5C) when I got up and just after sunrise that was down to -3C (felt like -6C) with just a very thin and patchy frost (there's definitely no moisture in the ground here) and we're now up to a sunny 4C (feels like 1C) with a max of 12C expected, though there's a cold westerly wind due to hit, it shouldn't be as gusty as yesterday, but it could be colder with all that snow happening down south. [edit] @ 9am here it's 7C, but the breeze is now picking up speed and making it feel more like 1-2C (it is sunny though and the ceiling fan downstairs has that area up to 17C now from 5C). My toes are still nice and warm so that cheap upgrade is working out well. Cheers. |

So far today has been a copy of yesterday, but more wind speed is expected today. Cheers. |

The last two mornings here have been so cold I've had to wear my jacket when going in to work. It got down to 20°c last night. Grant Darwin NT |

I doubt that we'll see 20C as a daytime temp here until spring, though it's still shorts and T-shirt for me still, but with this chilly gale blowing I did have to a jacket on to go to the pub for lunch. Cheers. |

It's a very windy 10C (feels like 3C) here ATM (11C is our expected max today) and you certainly know when winter arrives here as I go through CR2032 button batteries like crazy (I just had to go duck across the road to the supermarket get another half a dozen of them after going through my stock here again already). At least the ceiling fan downstairs has my shed up to 20C so I'll head on back down there to use 2 of those batteries now (I hope that the supermarket gets more in very soon as I may likely need them). Cheers. |

The mercury here did reach 11C (just), but it felt like 3-4C (depending on the wind speed at the time), and -6C is our expected overnight low. Currently it's 3C, but feels like -2C. Cheers. |

Good Friday has kicked off here at -7C (felt like -10) and 14C is our expected max, but thankfully we should only have a cool breeze here today. Cheers. |

We're having our 2nd damp day in a row here in the highlands with 16.5mm already and possible snow falls can be expected. Cheers. |

Cold mornings here (20°c), but man it's been blowy too. 30km/h Southerlies, gusts to 40-45km/h. And with that, it's become rather hazy from all the smoke being blown up from the south. Grant Darwin NT |

It's a wet and windy start here in the highlands (1C feels like -4C) and the snow flakes are starting to fall in town (40km south) while 8C is our expected max, though our actual temp may not make it past 0C. Cheers. |

After running out of milk I went across to the supermarket (about an hour ago) and was greeted by a powdery drizzle with some very small snowflakes mixed in, it was 2C and felt like -3C then and it's still the same now. Life in the Northern Tablelands. :-D [edit] BTW, I (weather depending) should get a load of wood delivered for the fire downstairs as the solar heating isn't working ATM and I've still got work to do down there (but not at 9C). Cheers. |

I'm just 67km (by road) from the Queensland border WK on a low high spot along this thing that they call the "Great Dividing Range". Now that the sun has set we have recorded a max of 6C (smack on the dot), feels like 1C, while snow is still possible down to 800m (I'm at 970m). The day here has been full of everything, plenty of wind, lots of drizzle (both powdery and wet types), small snowflakes (gone as soon as they hit something), rain and the odd sunbeam (but thankfully no sleet). -1C is our expected overnight low (I wouldn't be surprised if that gets amended in the next couple of hours downwards), though tomorrow is expected to be the reverse of today so that will give me a chance to get the other half a trailer load of wood in in the morning before it goes downhill with thunderstorms and small hail possible, but at least a sunny 13C is expected 1st (so my solar heating may work, but the fireplace is ready to go if not). Cheers. |

Cloudy days, and clear nights make for damn cold days. The Sun has finally got some heat to it, but the air is that cold I need a good jacket on while on the bike to stop me from shivering (wind is 30kn/h with gusts to 50km/h). It's 12:30 and it's only made it to 26°c. Grant Darwin NT |

@1am it's 15C (feels like 12C) here, but it was nice out in the sun with Dog in T-shirt, shorts & thongs (I just came inside to a nice 20C). ;-) Cheers. |

After a very ordinary long weekend (very little sunshine was seen, but there was plenty of cold wind) it looks like we'll finally get a sunny day without a cold wind blowing after a frosty 0C (felt like -2C) start here this morning and 19C is our expected max (I'm won't hold my breath on it getting that far though). Cheers. |

It's actually warmed up here, and the humidity has come back (just a bit). No need for jacket on the way to work this morning- it was just cool, not freezing. Grant Darwin NT |
