[EDIT:] To continue the conversation on the Submerged PC System. Submerged PC System with 16 RTX-2080 GPUs. For the comment that these are NOT RTX-2080s, IF you read ALL the comments related to the Video, it is mentioned that the Partner of the guy demonstrating the System reveals to the Interviewer that the GPUs ARE RTX-2080s. TL ======================== Thanks for the win, Mike. Winning number is written down. The rules ------------ 1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules. 2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.) 6. No double posts. Violator buys a round for the house in Rocky's. 7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post) Don`t forget to have fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Thanks, Vic. 😀 WOW, sorry to hear that they broke the reservoir. Question, is the broken unit FROM the "New" Engine, OR FROM your Original Engine??? I ask, because, (just like the Flywheel), what stops them from using the "good" unit from the "other" engine??? (Instead of buying another "New/Used" Part.) IF the "New" Engine DID NOT come with this part, AND they broke your Original Part - then I do understand the urgent need to replace it with the one on e-Bay. When I had the '89 Accord LX-i Engine rebuilt, I chose NOT to buy an Exchange Engine BUT instead had them just completely overhaul my Original Engine... So, for me, EVERYTHING NOT nailed down got taken off to do the major block work, and then all the miscellaneous parts were put back on to the rebuilt motor. They DID bore out the Cylinder Walls, bought me NEW Pistons, and put in Oversized Rings to make it all work right. This REDUCED Gas Mileage for me by 2MPG, (going from 25 to 23MPG), BUT INCREASED Horsepower to 133. New Belts and Hoses were also installed for Warranty Purposes, along with a new Water Pump. Also FINALLY chose to have the defective under-powered factory alternator beefed up to over 120AMPS. (A $500 Cost, included in the Grand Total.) This FULL Rebuild COST $$$$, though! Like TWICE what an Exchange Engine would have been, at a Total of $6K out the door! (So, the Exchange Engine would have been $3K. BUT, I wouldn't have the Original Motor, NOR the Original History on the Vehicle... Hence I chose to pay $6K and keep the Original Engine. This also meant I DIDN'T have to File an amended Title with Change in Total Mileage, nor need to keep documentation of same.) I DID have to borrow that from a good friend and pay him over time until paid off. TOOK ME SEVERAL YEARS, but I did get him paid off. I sincerely hope that nothing else comes up to need fixing on your Exchange Engine. ALSO, IF "they" broke this reservoir, shouldn't "they" pay for the replacement??? I did find a universal racing power steering fluid reservoir That sounds like an oxymoron to me. |

Moaning about parts suppliers who can't put things in the right boxes. Two weeks ago the LP fuel pump on my car failed - it's buried in the tank, which has to be removed to gain access, and there's about 40kg of diesel in the tank. I got recovered to a nearby garage where it was parked up until Monday (the staff were just going off for a "team building drinking session" when we arrived). Monday comes, and a load of diagnostics are run, two possible failures - the common-rail pressure regulator which is easy to get and easy to replace, so that was ordered and replaced on Tuesday, no problems. But still no start. LP fuel pump ordered, by part number, on Tuesday, for delivery Wednesday/Thursday. Thursday, late afternoon the pump arrives in a box bearing the right part number. Friday, the tank is removed (I dare say with much exercise of Anglo Saxon terminology being applied.) and the pump removed from the tank. Glance at the pump and the one in the box tells them the one in the box is wrong - even has he wrong part number on it. Old new one sent back with note saying "You've got the wrong bit in the right box". Tuesday another new pump arrive, in a correctly labelled box - guess what, its another pump entirely. Repeat send back. Yesterday (Thursday) 4pm, another pump arrives, in an unlabelled box, and it's the right one. Too late in the day to do anything but cheer. Garage is shut now until Tuesday, when they should get everything put back together, and my car running......
