Hi,

I have a Intel HD Graphics 630 GPU and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q design. on dragon center.
I found out that Boinc is using the Intel GPU, so I follow this https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/pc-components/how-set-default-graphics-card-3612668/ in order to force boinc to use the nvidia GPU.
It seems to work but... it's weird.

I don't know if it works, why the task manager display that the nvidia GPU isn't working, and I want to know if Boinc is really using the Nvidia GPU.
PS: I already check, Boinc is not installed as "service".

Quickest way is to look at tasks that have been crunched, it'll show which device it used:

So in this case this task was crunched by your Nvidia GPU.

According to your submitted tasks, you are indeed using the GPU. And the latest tasks report using CUDA50 which is on your 1070.

1. Being a laptop be very mindful of the heat and temps of the GPU. Laptops usually don’t fare very well with running 100% under this kind of work.

2. You can do a bit more optimization if you run the lunatics installer and select theSoG tasks. Looks like BOINC is running you through all the apps now looking for the best one.

That looks like the Task Manager for Windows 10. Each of the four mini-graphs has a label - 3D, Copy, Video Encode, Video Decode. We don't do those things.

But there is a drop-down arrow beside each one, and you can choose other measurements. Explore, and you will find the computing activity - it will be far higher than these, and confirm that the card is working hard.
