Look like Putin wins. He has broken the EU er NATO apart. Or perhaps Trump... "This American administration firmly believes in the nation state, not supranational structures and this administration are hugely keen on the defence, security and indeed business relationships that exist between our two countries. And I think it's fair to say they see Brexit as a great opportunity," Mr. Trump said. |

This isn't going well, and I can't see the necessary 115 members reversing their vote. So, fast forward 72 hours, and I think we're back in Groundhog Day. I sincerely hope that at that point, Theresa May steps aside, and allows someone else to (re-?) negotiate a completely new withdrawal deal without Theresa May's personal red lines. And I would prefer it if that new agreement was negotiated under the direction of a cross-party 'Government of National Unity' (as has been used in wartime), or a formal coalition. |

Sigh... Another vote tomorrow and another vote on Thursday. Will Britain leave EU on march 29? Or should the exit be postponed for more negotiations? Or will there be a new referendum? Or should Britain have a new national election? Isn't about time that Britain make their mind up? |

On Thursday, MPs will be asked if they want to delay Brexit until 30 June. If so then Britain have to go through the European Parliament elections in late May:) New drama follows tomorrow. |

Think the giant pharmaceuticals had better come with a cure for cancer pdq, as there is a terrible cancerous growth in Westminister. European Commission spokesperson said: "There are only two ways to leave the EU: with or without a deal. The EU is prepared for both. |

33 months on, still can't see it happening Oops, wasn't expecting this, just breaking: Labour MP Lucy Powell's amendment, which specifies that Article 50 should only be extended until 30 June, has been rejected by 314 votes to 311 - a majority of just three votes. Conservative Shailesh Vara tells the BBC News Channel that it is the "right thing" that MPs have voted against holding another referendum. |

So far, two proposals have been voted down - the proposal to postpone brexit to hold a new referendum and the proposal that Parliament should take over the brexit process. The British Parliament has voted in favor of the Government's proposal to ask for more time from the EU - at present it is "a technical extension" until 30 June. However, the date applies if they manage to vote for the deal with the EU until next Wednesday. Otherwise, the decision about the length of the negotiation time may end up in the hands of the EU - and then be much longer. If the EU says yes to the extended negotiation time, brexit will not happen on 29 March. However, the EU is believed to agree with the UK proposal. |
