Looks like the remains along with the what's in it for me are going to scuttle it.
EU's answer should be you had your chance, can't do it again, send the crown to Brussels!

Brexit bill clears 1st hurdle
Still can't see it happening...
...on 31/10/19 anyway. :-(

Oops.
The ratio of MPs supporting the withdrawal bill was 52:48.
Ring a bell?
It was the same ratio by which the Leave campaign won in the Brexit referendum.

MPs have voted to approve the government's timetable for the remaining stages of the Withdrawal Agreement Bill that they have just backed.

Which, for those unfamiliar with British parliamentary procedures, means that they voted to reject the timetable motion. Which means that they can make no further progress until somebody or bodies have cobbled together an alternative timetable.

...& the farce continues...

Can anyone tell me when did parliamentary democracy take over from national democracy?

Somewhere around 1649, I think, after the execution of the King.

Don't you understand, the remains won.

(Some votes need to be by 2/3 or even 3/4 so everyone is satisfied the choice is real.)

Here we go again.
The House of Commons votes on British new elections - again.
Either December 9 or December 12...
The reason why the government advocates Thursday, December 12, is that traditionally elections are held on Thursdays in the country and because they have to deal with the budget for Northern Ireland. The opposition Labor Party previously voted against it, pointing out that many students will then have left their universities and thus the place where they are eligible to vote.
The result could ultimately be a compromise with elections on December 11 - which at the same time avoids colliding with the EU summit in Brussels which starts the day after...

Is this muppet living in an alternate universe?

Corbyn asked how he would vote in new referendum
Asked how he would vote in a new referendum on Brexit, Mr Corbyn says Labour would immediately negotiate a new deal.
"Within six months that offer, alongside Remain, would be put to the British people.
"In the meantime, our party will come together in the way we always do, discuss that, and decide what we're going to do.
"But basically it will be about bringing our communities together and putting the issue behind us."

Or should that be T+159 days 13 hours 23 minutes?

The fiasco continues...
Too many let power get to their heads. Fortunately, there is at least one judge out there who knows that. :-)
Judge Stephen John Hopkins QC said to him: "Why did you say that? Are you completely stupid?
"You have managed single-handed, and I have no doubt it was deliberate on your part, to sabotage this trial… get out of my court."
Dropping like flies - He's the 5th this week.
...reminds of that Paul Robeson song:

That ol' man brexit
He don't say nothing
But he must know something
Cause he just keeps rolling
He keeps rolling along

80,000 people have had no representation for 14 years.
It's now the turn of 111,600*
*last known official figure(2014).
"The more I investigated it, it just seems so undemocratic," he said. "There's a lot of things that need modernising in Parliament and this is certainly one of them. It's a sham."
Easy answer, blame Brexit. :-)

A longstanding parliamentary tradition means major parties agree not to stand against the Speaker, who is considered to be politically neutral.
