The first hand accounts of those that witnessed the events at Rendlesham Forest on 26th December 1980,

Chris there was more than one " incident " at the twins the 26th was when Pennistone and Burrows saw a " craft " in a clearing and Pennistone went back and made plaster casts , then there was another two " incidents in the same week , the 2nd was when " the Halt " tape was made and the 3rd happened in a farmers field on the edge of Rendlesham forest !!!

It's the UK equivalent of Area 51 in the States, it all still makes money today all these years later.

Slightly wrong mate the " Rendlesham forest incident " is sposed to be Gt Britain's ROSWELL , Gt Britains AREA 51 is " allegedly Boscome Down ain't it ;-) ;-)

Sorry about not getting back to Chris with the answer to his question "Why can't we find any of the transfer and scout ships?"....
One was eventually stripped of its parts - where do you think the gold and precious metals for all those golden artefacts in museums came from?
Another was destroyed in the devastation caused by the destruction of the massive transport.
One was right at the impact point of the meteor that created Crater Lake.
The final one had been carefully buried under a volcano near Java, Krakatoa and we all know what happened there :-(
Others are still out there, buried deep underground or sunk in the depths of the oceans. One day someone might actually find one, but after all these years will it be recognisable as an interplanetary ship and not some strange geological anomaly?

If Aliens have visited us in the past, they may do it also today, and in this case the Silvano P. Colombano argument to pay more attention to UFOs is not illogical. My personal opinion is that, due to the huge distance from other solar systems, aliens may be more artificial than living beings, that is computers.Living creatures, not being immortal, are likely to die in a long expedition and that may have been the fate of the Oumuamua crew, if we think of it as an alien spacecraft.

Colombano propose a more “aggressive” approach to future SETI exploration.
And using words like “speculative", "might", "possibility" in his paper.

1. Engage physicists in what might be called “speculative physics”, still grounded in our most solid theories but with some willingness to stretch possibilities as to the nature of space-time and energy.

China is sending mission Change-4 to the far side of the Moon. According to "Nature" one of its task will be to search for low frequency radio emissions, which are blocked by the atmosphere. A low frequency SETI search might give interesting results.
